You Are Being Pursued

It is a lovely tint imparted to the scriptures, that the supposedly Hebrew 'ehyeh 'asher 'ehyeh ("I AM THAT I AM") of Exodus 3:14 might actually be a Median (Midian) proto-Arabic language expression of love, of God being impassioned and devoted, determinedly pursuing us. It puts a pleasant and personal light on the Marriage Feast of the Lamb, on the Church being the Bride. GOD IS PURSUING US!!

For me, the words 'to create' means "to imagine." God first imagined the beautiful earth...and then it became. Or rather is becoming. Adam were male and female. As they imagined, they created their world. Their plan then got projected into experience. THAT was their "wife," as it is ours. WE ARE GOD'S PLAN'S PROJECTION, ITS "WIFE." We are "Eve," the mother of all living. Because we are to be one with God consciously and aware, because It pursues to catch us, for that reason a man leaves his father and mother to catch a wife for himself, and they become clearly one. Our experience illustrates God's loving pursuit of us to that clarity. This makes all the verses about the love of God all the more interesting. It is after us, and It is the Reward.

The Reward. The word 'gospel' originally meant "reward." We tell people the kerugma, the message about how the Reward became available through the birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our reconciliation to God through Him is the Reward. We ARE redeemed and are accounted to BE Him, clearly HIS.

If It Is A Pursuit, There Must Be a Person. Be a man, lady, and let Him catch you.

COMMUNION: All Out Is In

The Spiritual Thing might be likened to a monster. It is hungry, and It eats everything. Everything is inside It. All the universes and all that is within them are within It. Without division. The farthest galaxies and all beyond them are within It, and thus are within us. For we all are one. As to our form, we are Johnny-come-latelies, but as to substance, we are the Eternal. Imagination.

Without a doubt, God became man that man might become God. God is the Eternal's activity. That we might do it. That we might god. For we are the Eternal. Just stupided. Ignoranced. Ignorance is not welcome in the monster.

"God became man." That was crucifixion to the monster. The fall. It laid down to sleep, and "died." Forgot. Entered ignorance as us. Still It, but as us. It did it, so we are absolved, vindicated, redeemed.

"This is My body. This is My blood." Where is It, the monster saying, "This"? It is the imagination. Your and my imagination. IT says, "This is My body. This is My blood." The three are one. We are the Eternal Who became us. We escape the ignorance we were born into, receive the Spirit we were before without knowing it. The Eternal - the Ineffable, the universe, and the life in it are one.

Cheese: The Season of Grace -- a Picture of the Spiritual Thing

The Big Picture:

I have an ineffable (...?), which is conscious. I have Its Consciousness, which is field-like and deliberately gods. I have a Divine Intelligence, which can and does become in actuality what It believes Itself to be. Thus I have an Entity: a spirit, mind, and body Being of all of the above. It is all that the ineffable (...?) is and has become as One. And I have a picture of it.

It said, "Cheese!" and took a photo of Itself. The original selfie. That was the Season of Grace, a historical period roughly from the destruction of the first Jewish Temple in Jerusalem to the destruction of the second. The Milta (Aramaic), the essence of the Thing above (if I understand Victor Alexander properly), was expressed in Eashoa, a character we call Jesus. Jesus died in the photo, because universal redemption wrought by the Big Guy, which It had done on Its level, was in the essence. Jesus was in the Big Guy's place, and was made LORD as It is LORD.

Jesus is the living (!) Picture of the Big Cheese we all are part of. We believe in Them together: Jesus is at the right (the blessings) of the Big Guy He represents, and the Big Guy takes His love and honor as His love and honor. It is all one, and these two, the picture and the pictured, are in correspondence.

At least that is how I see it.

It's a Spiritual Thing

"As above, so below," as one, big, spiritual thing. The universes and their cause, the "Thingless," are one. One entity. One being.

Separations are perceptions. Everything is relative (i.e., is your relative). We are in and parts of the Thing and the No-thing doing Its thing. All action is the one Being's action. The tea, the cup, your pouring the tea into the cup is all the Being's doing. It does not have to say; It thinks, is, and does.

The Being was ignorant. A small matter. It fixed it. The Body, a spiritual thing, is becoming fixed. "It was the Thing's ignorance; hence, the No-thing's: you are absolved." Redemption to the repentant. The one, big, spiritual Thing becoming pure.

Why the Wait: Hello - the Law of Attraction and Disbelief

In my last post, “Cultivate the Non-separateness of God,” I asked the question, “Why the wait?” I did not answer the query. Yes, we have to wait if we are praying to a god who does not exist, one who is any distance from us. For God IS us. How far away can what you are be?

This is quite different from the sometimes almost immediate "manifestation" of practicing the Law of Attraction, although the manifestation's "gestation" may take considerable time. The Law of Attraction depends upon psychological vibrations and frequencies, upon the order of the universe drawing what is believed to exist invisibly to oneself. The question here is not, "Why the wait," but, "Why an answer?" The answer to both questions, I believe, is the same:

"Hello."

God, Who intensely loves, desires to be recognized and loved, for the love of Its Ineffable Being to prevail throughout the entirety of Its Being, including Its manifestation, works. "When it works," Neville Goddard said of assumption, "You have found Him, God, your own, wonderful, human imagination." In manifestation by the Law of Attraction, God is saying, "Hello. Yes, I am real, and you are My manifestation." The universal "field" of consciousness is ITS consciousness, the Ineffable's Consciousness -- Eil the Shaddai ("God Almighty"), the Eternal, Infinite, Invisible, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Master of the Universe Who has become what It is LORD over. It is our impassioned, caring Father, and we are It. And so is everything else. That is why whatever we do "unto the least of these, you have done it unto Me." The so-called Law of Attraction's working is a big ol' flag being waved in your face saying, "HELLLLOOOOOO!!!" by the One Who can wave it -- that we are dealing with the Big Guy. The world really is being run the way the Bible says it is, with God, Jesus, angels and demons, and for God's intentions. We have just been misunderstanding the values of its symbolism. But as it works, there It is.

The Bible needs to be believed. The absolute worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst thing ever is believing that God is separate and other. That God is distant, aloof, needing to be invoked somehow. Yes, God is in heaven, but "heaven" is your BRAIN. God is in our skulls, our minds as an interface, but It - imagination - is also everything behind the mind and everything projected by the mind -- yours, mine, and everyone else's. It is so incredibly sad that ministers read the Bible as historically literal instead of spiritually literal. Granted, they have inherited a God-is-distant worldview from Mithraism and other Pagan cults which have become Western Christianity, but a simple and direct reading of the Bible believing what it says should correct that, if ministers would read without mentally "correcting" what it says to align with their worldview and to excuse their making God out to be a liar.

For God says directly enough that It has made everything out of No-thing, which is what It, the No-thing, is. And It has said directly enough that It - everything - is one. And It has said directly enough, "I in You and You in Me and We in Them and They in Us." THERE IS NO "SEPARATE" GOD! Even born-again, Bible-believing Pentecostal Christians WAIT for healing because they do not perceive that God is - as It says - their very own human imagination. "The Kingdom of God is within," they will say, and explain with their next breath how that is a lie. How God is distant, separate, aloof but desiring man's mind to be surrendered and submitted to Him. NOT that God Itself is within awaiting that surrender and submission. Awaiting as a Person to be recognized, honored, and adored; not just "accepted" as some universal appendage.

The Christian's waiting for the ministry of an evangelist is as waiting for the reward of God's presence. In the believing minister, in his anointing, they see God: "Here He is, finally." Yes, contact with the loving Presence brings healing, peace, and deliverance. In it God is saying, "HELLLOOOO." That Its Presence is in our BELIEF. "Heaven came down, and Glory filled my soul," we sing. Glory is ALWAYS in the believing soul, "heaven." Just keep It down here with BELIEF.

Cultivate the Non-separateness of God

"God became man, that man might become God." Neville Goddard drilled this into his audience's minds. "God is man's own, wonderful, human imagination," he said. Cultivate the sense of that, of God's not presence with, but being your mind.

I read today of a woman who was healed of blindness at an evangelistic campaign featuring David Nunn. She was blinded when she was two and a half. The campaign was THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS LATER. Nunn prayed for her, and she was healed. Why the thirty-seven year wait?

I hyper-extended my back in Honolulu, and though the Gregory brothers treated me there with wonderful chiropractic, for healing I flew back to Walnut, California, on my elbows to be prayed for by elders of my church. The woman with the crooked back (Luke 13) was loosed by Jesus after eighteen years, the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5) after 12, and then only because she touched the hem of His garment. I have gone to numerous prayer meetings and healing services, and, as you might see at a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting, there are people in wheelchairs and braces waiting to be prayed for by the evangelist. Why the wait?

T. L. Osborn, who saw more healings than any other man, said, "Don't blame me for any of that. I just preach the Word. It is God who does the healing." True. People waited years in misery for him to come and announce the Gospel of God's love Who then instantaneously healed them. Why the wait?

People wait because they believe God is separate and other. They believe the lie. The truth is God is here as them, their imagination, but hidden by their unbelief in their ONENESS with God. They wait for the "separate and other" god, who does not exist, until they see its representative, until contact with God - Who they do not recognize IS them - can be established.

THERE IS NO OTHER, NO OUTSIDE GOD!! "Take the shoes from your feet" (Exodus 3), means to have no intermediary. There is nothing between God and man. Moses had reached the actual presence of God in his mind, where He was him. Moses' consciousness was THERE. Moses was meditating, and he reached the Face of God, the Imagination which was emanating him. The distance God is from every one of us is only in perception, because there is no separation. He is Him, and He is us. There is no otherness, save our ignorance and stupidity. His ignorance and stupidity is only in us, and He is trying to get rid of it by our overcoming it.

Says C. H. Dodd: "This was the true solution of the problem presented to the Church by the disappointment of its naïve expectation that the Lord would immediately appear; not the restless and impatient straining after signs of His coming which turned faith into fantasy and enthusiasm into fanaticism; but a fuller realization of all the depths and heights of the supernatural life here and now. The prayer of the Church as taught by Paul was no longer, 'Let grace come and let this world pass away. Our Lord, come!' (Didaché, x. 6) but 'to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love, may be strong to apprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ that passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fullness of God'" (Eph. 16-19)...here and now in one's own heart by faith!! (1964, The Apostolic Preaching and Its Developments, New York: Harper and Roe, p. 63, emphasis mine).

PEOPLE ARE STILL NAIVE, waiting for an external contact with That which is within them. Brother F. F. Bosworth taught that "every child does its own crying." It does not ask its sibling to ask its parents on its behalf, to cry in its stead. Just as children are projections of their parents, we are projections of God, Who is the Ineffable's imagination. We are in - and are being projected from - Him. Our intensely loving Father is ready, willing, and able to provide out here IF AND WHEN WE FINALLY GO TO HIM WITHIN.

Recognizing our oneness with God Who has become us is our project. There is nothing to wait for. Simply believe He is in you loving you intensely, and that you are in Him being intensely loved. I wish you every success in becoming Him.

What Is God? Love-force, Light-force, And Life-force. Have We Missed Person-force?

Maybe because it goes without saying that Consciousness demands Personhood. Or because the Person is the Ineffable, which is, uh, un-effed. That would be my guess.

There are trillions upon trillions of inhabitable planets throughout the universe. And this probably isn't even the first universe (eternity is a really, really long time). This universe existed ten billion years before our sun and earth ever formed from the dust of this galaxy. That is a lot of time the Ineffable Person may have been forming conscii - sentient persons of Its field of existence - on innumerable planets. Any life-form has personhood. Give any conscius time, and it will mature along the lines of the Ineffable's nature.

Now here is an interesting question: what would be the fully-matured conscii's religion? May I suggest the Personhood of the Ineffable? That Love, Light, and Life come from - are - a Person? Kind of goes without saying.

The Ire of Desire

I have been reluctant to discuss this. Cheryl Craig brought up that some of her reading group say that we should have no desire. Yes, I addressed this not long ago. I was intentionally shallow. Because I did not and do not want to offend. But Biblically the symbolic focus of desire and the cause of man's trouble is the female aspect. You can see why this might irk some people.

Obviously, and with good reason, woman is man's desire. As I read the Bible, though, women are not women. Adam was male and female. A family. "Multiply and increase, and fill the earth and its environments" (Genesis 1:28). Fill the earth with families. Eve, the mother of all who would live, was and is the male and female Adam's desire for expansion. Their "wife" was their desire's manifestation. THIS is where the trouble begins. In their ignorance (Satan), they forgot to put God's purposes first. This is about ITS becoming, not ours.

Their becoming they pursued. Which irked God and caused Its indignation, because pursuing our desires and becoming above God's was not and is not right. God is big on right, proper, and appropriate, because It is right, and this is ITS manifestation. We are just a subset of It. As sent, it is appropriate for us to be in meekness, humility, patience, and full resignation to the Spirit of God. THAT's what we repent to when we repent.

The Bible is the greatest book on prayer, and the purpose of prayer is not just to get whatsoever we desire. Our desires are still distracting. Fame, fortune, and family certainly look fabulous, but their fantastic-ness is illusion. God must be first in our pursuit. It is ever "seek ye first the Kingdom of God and Its rightness, and all these things shall be granted to you" (Matthew 6:33). Otherwise God withdraws behind our desires, and we are left with the misery we create (for creation has been turned over to us, but not for ourselves) -- no matter how fantastic it might temporarily appear.

If God is indeed Impassioned, Flaming Love, It is outward. If we are It, we are to love It like It does, outward, loving Its expansion, not our own. So love your neighbor as you would love yourself, and be expanded.

Creation, i.e., Causation's Design, Is Turned Over To Man

People think that at creation, Genesis chapter one, things were there. No. At creation things were imagined. It was a plan. God has always found what It could be, and then become it. It is the becoming God. God took the PLANNED MAN, male and female, and in Genesis chapter two turned creation over to them, HE IN THEM. And thus it has ever been, Christ in US as we create. Christ does not come on the outside, though another christ will say that he has. My point: creation as God-ing has been turned over to us. We partner, as Rabbi David A. Cooper said in God is a Verb (1997, New York: Riverhead Books, p. 73), in God-ing. "The commandment which I command you is not hidden from you, nor is it far away....But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart that you may do it" (Deuteronomy 30:11-14). Notes Cooper, "Earthly matters are now mankind's domain, and heaven should not interfere."

Vic Alexander: Are You A Fan Of?

I promote Vic Alexander's translations because he has the most unique viewpoint of any translator I am familiar with. In my opinion, if you do not have Alexander's translations from the Aramaic, you do not have anything close to the real Bible. If you have benefited from Vic's translations or his wonderful now-defunct blog, how about saying so to him? A thank you would be appreciated. His present e-mail address is vicalexander37@gmail.com

As I understand it, Vic is a native Aramaic speaker who learned the ancient scribal language and, finding that the West did not actually have an accurate translation of the Aramaic scriptures, set to translating them himself. You can't get more noble than that, save charging less for them. I learned about Aramaic versions of the Bible several years ago and got a few of them. Did not see much difference in the Lamsa version from the KJV, and had trouble with the dense Hebraism of Jahn's version. I get the logic that if the history was lived in Aramaic, anything but Aramaic is a translation. Alexander's translating was a slow-go because it was a solo effort and he had to wrestle to get the meaning of the scripture from the ancient language and to frame it in idiomatic English. So it's got some typos. So what? I am a big kid and can wrestle in my own reading to extract what he is saying.

The Master's Indwelling

Andrew Murray is a bit of a read, as he lived in the 1800's. The Master's Indwelling is especially sweet. It has to do with the dying of self. Which is putting God first. That's all it is, really. Full surrender and submission to God, Christ in you. THAT is the reward. It is the self-life which keeps us from God. Not that He is away. But as long as we are putting ourselves first, He won't touch us with a ten foot (3.048 meter) pole. Because it isn't right. We are He, but He is greater than we. The Sent cannot be greater than the Sender. So we shut up and listen to what we are, and present that to Him - as we are in His presence - as a model for Him to present. But above all we put Him (which may be love outward) in first place.

Job, the Other First Book of the Bible, was Probably Moses' Neighbor in Yah in the Land of Median (Midian)

I have said that Exodus was the first Book of the Bible, for Moses experienced Exodus before he wrote Genesis. Genesis is what Moses learned in Exodus. Even before Moses experienced Exodus, he lived among proto-Arabic speaking Medianites (Midianites), perhaps in Yah, near or the same land as Uz, the home of Job. According to Bullinger's calculations in The Companion Bible (pg. 666 and 667), Moses may have known Job for the last fifteen years of his life, might have witnessed the actual events described, and might actually have authored the Book of Job. The life of Job, if not purely philosophical, would have been the inspiration leading to Exodus and Genesis.

What Job had and Moses witnessed and developed, the religion of the Yahites*, is what I would like to get back to. Someone there knew that the love of God is a two-way street. I fancy myself something of a missionary for the ancient Aramaic Church, but that church of Jesus Christ in the Season of Grace was an expression of the belief in the land of Uz/Median back in the days of Job and Moses.

*I do not know the actual name of the land.

Faith: Big Numero Uno Thing

Learn that the loving, devoted God is HERE. You might think that He is inactive. Faith is knowing that He is active, that "this" (all our problems) is all from us, from our ignorance and non-submission to Him. The repair is to recognize and acknowledge that He is here and to submit our selves to Him. Lay it all down. He will lift it up.

Exodus 3 Burning Thorn Bush Theophany Of Jesus Christ Inside YOUR Mind

The burning thorn bush was a theophany of Jesus Christ inside Moses' mind. Moses was meditating on God's overflowing super-abundance (Jethro). The Messenger who is the face of God, Jesus, in MY mind said, "Come unto Me." I saw that His speaking directly into my brain was a good trick, but I did not know how to do it, how to go to Him, what He meant.

He meant that He was right there, in my brain, kind of behind my imagination, watching, listening, presenting thoughts, manifesting their projection (or is that projecting their manifestation?). His point was that He was right THERE, in my brain, my imagination. Here. I generally live my life as though He were far away, out of sight, out of mind. Oops. THIS (waving my arms to indicate myself and everything around me) is HIM! It is projected OF Him. He is just kind of behind it, but there He IS -- zero distance from my heart and mind! I find that I can envision Him, the "Face" of God, as a bar of light situated in my skull. From It “I” and my world come. I cannot think, speak, or act without His knowing it all together (see Psalm 139).

And He is in EVERYONE'S mind just the same. The same Guy (the Eternal!) in each of us. That is how available faith is to everyone. If he or she will just believe that He is there being what He is, doing what He does, THAT is the door to open one's self to Him.

What Faith Is: The Zero Distance Thing

I have not heard many pastors, preachers, or teachers get this right. Usually Hebrew 11:1 is quoted and they attempt to make sense out of it. Faith is knowing that God is zero distance away, is in the brain conscious of every thought and word spoken, and is projecting that creative interior input into manifest exterior reality. Faith is confidence in the Hope within, not in the invisible things without, and that confidence is the evidence of the things unseen. The God of gods and Lord of lords is. in. your. brain. Inside your mind. You may have known Him as Eil the Shaddai, the All-providing Breasts, but know that He is YHWH, the all powerful, eternal, Devoted One who loves you and is watching to perform your every word.

What Was Needed To Be Said By God?

I am not saying that God is not the Great I AM, the uncaused, eternal, and universal Deity. I just wonder if it was necessary for Him to say so. It just kind of goes without saying in the context. I think Moses knew he was dealing with the Big Cheese from the get go, and God did not need to iterate "I AM THE BIG CHEESE." What He did need to say, though, was that His nature is LOVE. That He desires relation. That He is impassioned with desire for improvement and progress to good. That He is devoted. The to-be-Jews sure needed to hear it. Jacob's kids certainly had not set a good example with incest, slaughter, and selling their brother into slavery. What went around had come around, and they were reaping their harvest. And none of them over twenty years old (save two) would ever see the promised land. Dudes had some problems, which God was trying to fix in love, but they fixated on power.

It is not too late to reformulate your understanding of what God our Father is, and what He expects of us. Impassioned beneficence. Do good. Love and charity FROM THE HEART. You will find that that in you is the face of the God who sees you, and by which He can be seen.

Exodus 3:14 And The Great I AM: Have The Jews Had It Wrong All This Time?

Granted, you can translate and interpret Exodus 3:14 a number of different ways. My Stone Tanach says that God's Name means "I shall be with them in this sorrow as I shall be with them in other sorrows." That is actually a good thing if you know God, but at the moment the Hebrews were not real happy about it. I have about fifteen to twenty different translations of the Hebrew 'ehyeh 'asher 'ehyeh and the Aramaic Ahiyeh Ashur hiyeh in my posts. Currently, "I am that (your) 'I am,'" "I am what I become," and "I, Imagination, become abundances' becoming," are my favorites. "I AM THAT I AM," i.e., "I AM THE ETERNAL UNCAUSED/SELF-CAUSED)," is not even in the picture for grammatical, linguistic, and logical reasons. Especially because it ignores the transitional qualities of the Hebrew word hayah, to become. Yes, it means to be - is, am, and was - but I think as a stage in transition: "And the earth was (became) without form and void."

But what if Moses got it wrong? All the "to be" meaning in the Name comes from the Hebrew AHYH ('ehyeh), whose root is the common hayah: "to be or to become." Moses was among the Medians (Midians), whose God was YHWH. They had named their land accordingly. Moses heard God say that He was their - the Median's - God YHWH or AHYH or both. And Moses was cool with that. Except Moses may have heard the Hebrew YHWH and not the Median YHWH, for the Medians spoke an early Arabic. And the early Arabic YHWH did not mean "to be or to become," but "to love, to desire, to be impassioned."

So the Jews form around a God who is, an all-powerful provider, and God is among them as a God who LOVES, who is IMPASSIONED, ZEALOUSLY DESIRING the development of Himself among them. There sure is a lot about God's love and His disgust with the Jews adulterous idolatry. They want power, and He wants love. What if the Jews have simply had it wrong all this time, based on Moses' misheard homonym?

Right Down The Middle: When Jesus Spoke Audibly To Me, He Was INSIDE My Brain Speaking Neither From The Left Nor From The Right

In Genesis, Moses was not speaking about the creation of the earth, but the creation of him. Adam male and female, the sleep, wife, mother of all living, the garden and the tree, the Devil and God -- all were...MOSES! All the characters, places, and events were himself psychologically. It is how he got to the place where he could be liberated in the book of Exodus, which is also all about HIM. For the Kingdom of God is WITHIN.

The Problem With Perfection: Who Is The Messenger Who IS God's Face (Is. 63:9)? -- A Thorny Question

God can be anything It desires to be. It is, then, that thing It has become. That is one meaning of Exodus 3:14's 'ehyeh 'asher 'ehyeh, "I AM WHAT I BECOME" (agreeing with Robert Young, I try to read the Old Testament as much as I can without the future tense, for the ancient Hebrew language did not have one; see the introduction to Young's Literal Translation). God LOVES what It has become, serves it, and pursues its perfection. God, of course, has become everything in the universe. Perfecting it all into Its perfect and complete Manifestation is a tall order, but It knows what It is doing.

Everything God has become is "the angel (or messenger) of His Face": "Through all their afflictions, He did not cause them [more] distress, and the Messenger of His faces saved them; through His mercy and care He saved them, and He lifted them and took them up all the days of the universe" (Isaiah 63:9 Alexander). The Messenger of His faces "was an idiomatic expression which meant the Messenger who is His face, i.e. who is the outward expression of His essence" (Robert Morey, 1996, The Trinity: Evidence and Issues, Iowa Falls: World Bible Publishers; emphasis mine). "The face of God is His self-revealing presence. The genitive...is not to be taken objectively in the sense of 'the angel who sees His face,' but as explanatory, 'the angel who is His face, or in whom His face is manifested'" (Delitzsch, cited in Morey, p. 201).

What I think that just said is that the burning thorn bush Moses saw of the angel or messenger of God was literally the face of God in his presence. That burning thorn bush was Moses' own life. Read this as our self-caused lives (God doesn't give us more problems than we ourselves make) are to us literally the face of God, His Messenger. They are Him trying to save us, to conform us to His image. Said Jacob the inner man to Esau the outer man after wrestling with the angel, "(N)ow I have seen that your face is the face of the angel (the Messenger Who IS the face of God) in my vision" (Genesis 33:10 Alexander, parenthesis mine). We really have to praise God for them, for without them we would never seek and find Him.

God Is Love: It Isn't That God HAS Love; It's That God IS Love

"Do not worship another God, because the Lord's name (nature) is Devoted. For He is the God of Devotion" (Exodus 34:14 Alexander).

Could even the Jews have had it wrong for over three thousand years? That the name Moses gave them for God was never Hebrew or Aramaic, but Proto-Arabic?

From The Torah.com:

An Arabic Name

If YHWH’s origins are in the Nomad-land of Yehwa among the Midianites, then the meaning of the name should be from the Arabic language family rather than the Hebrew language family. This further calls into question the etymology in Exodus 3 of the Tetragrammaton from ה.ו.י, “to be,” since, unlike Hebrew and Aramaic, Proto-Arabic does not have the root ה.ו.י for the word “to be.”

The Jealous God

In 1956, Shelomo Dov Goitein (1900-1985), a scholar of both Jewish and Arabic studies, suggested that the name derives from the Arabic root h.w.y (هوى), and the word hawaya (هوايا), which means “love, affection, passion, desire.” He connected this suggestion with the passage in Exodus 34, in a set of laws known by scholars as the Ritual Decalogue. One of the laws, which forbids Israel to worship other gods, reads:

שמות לד:יד כִּי לֹא תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לְאֵל אַחֵר כִּי יְ-הוָה קַנָּא שְׁמוֹ אֵל קַנָּא הוּא. Exodus 34:14 - "For you must not worship any other god, because YHWH, whose name is Impassioned, is an impassioned God."

Goitein suggests that “YHWH, whose name is Impassioned” refers to the deity’s personal name YHWH, which means “the Impassioned One,” and that this name derives from that (proto)Arabic term for passion. This reflects the idea that YHWH’s bond with his worshipers is one of passionate love, and YHWH is upset if the worshipers “cheat” by worshipping other gods. In other words, the worshippers’ relationship with YHWH must be exclusive. Moreover, according to Goitein, this exclusivity demanded by YHWH goes back to his appearance as a god among nomadic, Arabian tribes. (Bold emphases mine)

So we are speaking of a monolatrous (see the article), impassioned religion - ages older than Judaism - which was devoted to The Impassioned God. And it, God's love, has been running right through Judaism and Christianity as if oblivious to the fact that we have got its name all wrong. It hasn't been hidden: if we can't read, that's our problem.

We read about God's agape love, that love is of God, chesed - election love, the more excellent way, that love is the fulfillment of the Law, "For God so loved the world," that Jesus died for the whole world. That God deserves our love is one thing; that God is our love is quite another. We are to diligently seek Him by loving, by being channels of His passion.

Speaking of reading, Moses' father-in-law Reuel means "God-looked-upon." Jethro means "His overflowing super-abundance." Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew God as Eil (the) Shaddai, the All-providing Breasts, but not as the Impassioned One. And grammatically YHWH Elohim means "His Love (or Passion) is the Universal God."

(Edit added 3-9-2023: per Victor Alexander, Elohim means "Over the Flames." I was going to say right now that "Flames" could be the stars of the universe, ourselves, or the spirits of God within us. But I suddenly wonder if they could be His loves, i.e., those whom He loves, those for whom He is blazingly impassioned.)

Do We Have The Wrong Name (Nature) Of God?

Fifteen or twenty years ago, maybe more, I saw a television program - PBS? - that said Moses might have fled Pharaoh to a Median (Midian) district called Yah. I assumed that Moses there met God, the God of Yah. Over the ensuing decades I have studied much about the Hebrew God Yahweh and His name. You can hardly be a Christian or Jew without MUCH exposure to the fact that the Jewish name for God, YHWH, or He is, comes from God's declaration in Exodus 3:14, "'AHYH 'ASHER 'AHYH," or "I AM THAT I AM." 'AHYH is often written 'ehyeh. These are based on the Hebrew word hayah, "to be" or "to become" (Strong's 1961).

You might have heard a teaching or two on God being The Great I AM: "He is simply because He is - the Uncaused Cause, because nothing caused Him - He simply is." Yeah. I probably have a thousand or more posts about it myself. But as discussed by Professor Israel Knohl in "YHWH: The Original Arabic Meaning of the Name," the Median people Moses was with in the land of Yah spoke Arabic, so the YHWH and AHYH ('ehyeh) in the Bible do NOT derive from the Hebrew root for "to be" or "to become," but from the ARABIC root for "love, desire, or passion." If so, being impassioned with a flaming love is not something God does, something that is adjunct to His being; it is what He is, impassioned. "God is love" is more true than we know! And the I AM or imagination we really are is actually that Love Itself. Have we been calling this God LORD, when we should have been calling Him LOVE?

Christ is the World Manifesting God’s Love. We are the Father of That

David, the Christ, calls us, "Father." And we are. We are Father manifesting the world in God’s love.

Which World Is This? Doorway to the Reward (Which is What the Word 'Gospel' Means)

Preach the Everlasting Reward, the Revelation of the Love of God:

"And I saw another angel flying in heaven, who has His Revelation for [all ages of] the universe, proffering hope for those who dwell on earth, for every motherland and generation and tongue and nation, who said in a great voice, 'Work for God and give Him glory, for the hour of His judgment has arrived. And worship the one Who created the heaven and the earth and the sea and the water springs'" (Revelation 14:6-7 Alexander, notes incorporated).

I have to ask again, which world is this? Is it a world of natural physics, or is it the way the Bible says? Is it literal and historical, or is it symbolic illustration, or a combination of these? How so? Is there a conscious, loving Personality in force, or is there just a neutral, non-judgmental "force"? Are we cared for and directed by an active and discriminating Intelligence, or do we cause our own successes and failures?

In my own experience, before I was "saved" I thought we were physical and had minds that could do spiritual, ESP stuff. After I got into meditation and mind-science, I found a deceiving spirit had been influencing my mind. Oddly, while this demon was doing its job, it did not know that it was being used by Jesus to develop me for God's purpose. Seeing this, I was suddenly harvested, got saved, and realized that this world is as the Bible says it is. Just not like that.

This world is God's own development program. "He" is growing through it, through fixing us. This world is a language through which His nature is being cultivated in us. Have you ever wondered why God doesn't just reveal Himself to us? Why we go to Lourdes or to ministers to be healed? Are these things saying something to us? Like, "You have to come and submit, make actual contact in meekness, humility, patience, and full resignation to get the reward." The reward is for relations of His who diligently seek Him. Their Everlasting Reward is HIM!!

"Come unto ME," He says: "Come unto Me - the Divine Love - all you mourners and carriers of burdens, and I shall give you peace. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, as I am peaceful and gentle of heart, and you shall find peace in your souls. For my yoke is pleasant and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-29 Alexander and Jesus, note incorporated). Peace in our souls. Peace in our "I Am," - our imagination, our world, IF we are united with Him, IF we go to Him in love like Him, our Great Reward.

Preach the REWARD: reconciliation with God, into His love, into His oneness, in and through the Lamb.

True Freedom is IN the Pattern Man. Don't Leave Home (or Church) Without Being IN the Lamb

Hi Dan,

I have a question for you. Yesterday I was listening to Neville's lecture "True Freedom" and he quotes William Blake. I know that Blake credits his poem, "Jerusalem" as not coming from himself but was channeled (lack of a better word right now). How do we discern, in your mind, when we receive outside information, if it is to be trusted or not. Channeling seems to be so common today. A Course In Miracles is claimed to be from Jesus. I have never believed this but I do see some very good teachings in it. I am part of a group that reads it every day and I feel like we are all getting more insightful and wiser in spiritual principles. I feel conflicted, I guess, as to what information is credible and what information is not. I know you had a vision of Jesus instructing you. Did he look like you? How do we discern truth from illusion Dan? Personally I wonder if there is a "force" (again, lack of a better word) that wants to keep us from knowing the truth and so there is enough truth to lead one on a certain path, like in the occult, but also keeps truth muddled and unclear, so one never truly realizes who they are. I would love your thoughts on this since you have had some experiences that have led you to your conclusions. Hope you are well. Thanks for all your shared insights and knowledge.

Sincerely, Cheryl C

_____________________________________

Thanks, Cheryl. I really appreciate your questions. I don't know if I can answer them, but I appreciate them. Seems to be a synchronicity thing. I wrote just last night (and this morning an update) about the true freedom. It has been years since I listened to Neville's lecture. Interestingly for me, he mentions it was Lincoln's Birthday, that there were protests in Los Angeles, the Sylmar earthquake on the previous Tuesday, and the trial of a straight-haired Tate-LaBianca murderess -- the Manson Girls. This had to be February 12, 1971. Neville began by saying of true freedom: "Exemption from all external restraints can be realized only by union with that Pattern Man Who achieved full and complete freedom."

Not your question, I know.

Regarding your question, I don't trust anything. I do not trust my conclusions or interpretations, the Bible, or other people's point-of-view. That is why I am here studying, wrestling, trying to sort things out. As Neville says, there is experience. That at least you know, and from that you build. There is a lot of elimination in building, because while things might seem to be good, they do not fit the pattern. Not really. A lot of things you pull back and keep--weren't so bad after all.

Figuring large is which world is this? When I got "saved," I realized that this really is a different world than I had expected. I was born into a world of natural physics, I was taught a natural order in school, had experiences that indicated this world was material, natural, evolutionary, constrained by linear-type historical time, etc. Suddenly, I was illuminated with the fact that this world actually is as the Bible says: controlled by God and for God; that the scriptural Jesus Christ really is His Son; and that everything is subject to His action by the Holy Spirit. I had the euphoric baptism in the Holy Spirit with tongues; Jesus spoke to me directly into the nervous system of the brain (or into the imagination in such a way that made it seem like that); and I watched (!) my arm grow out but a half inch or so in response to Charles Hunter asking Jesus to do it. Jesus is a tricky guy.

I do not know about Jerusalem being channeled. I know Blake said he received it in parts, but I am big on God being able to speak to and teach us by inspiration. I do not buy into the Jews only receiving God's words and attention. God is speaking to all of us all the time, BUT HOW SO? All I can say is that when it gets here, it is corrupted. THAT, REALLY, IS NOT A PROBLEM. A life-work, perhaps, but not a problem. Because we have the Guy, the Pattern Man. We can know Him! experience Him! Yes, Ignorance is as a person trying to muddle the truths we learn, but the Anointed One is here guiding: "This is good, keep this. That's not the truth; this is. That is interesting, but incomplete." Jesus/God is gone away, but still here. And the heart is the door: "Nothing is the way to God but our heart...in the meekness, humility, patience, and full resignation of the Lamb" - William Law.

The Bible does make it clear that God is generating and developing His nature in us. He has to be away for us to find it and grow. The Mosaic Law guides us in what morality, integrity, fidelity to goodness and love are like. The New Testament points out that love is what it is all about, for God is "an eternal and immutable will to all goodness" (Law, p. 11).

As for the deceiving spirit that approached me in my meditation, it was supposed to be an "ascended master" descending from heaven to teach me the things he had taught his disciples which the non-spiritual in the church had corrupted and/or lost. Because I was a true seeker I merited this. The image in my mind's eye was that of a Sunday School Jesus: long hair, beard, white robe, sash, sandals. Light was coming from it, but suddenly I could see through the light. The light "emanating" from it was just a façade. The spirit itself was just darkness inside. I have no doubt but that if I had allowed the spirit to progress, it would have had wonderful teachings for me. All errant. It was going to stoke my ego: "Aren't you special? You are so advanced. Nobody else knows this." "Anti" is not against Christ; it is the offer of another, different Christ. It was simple and direct fraud I was to buy into. A wooden nickel. Real, but counterfeit.

So it is a balancing act. On my knees before the Lamb in meekness, humility, patience, and full resignation SUBMITTING my being the operant power: "Not without You, O Lord. Not without You."

Cheryl: Freedom From Desire vs "Freedom From A Self-Centered Life/ Dying to Self -- Selections From The Writings Of William Law," Edited By Andrew Murray: A Reading Suggestion

Cheryl Craig said that several of her reading cohort insist that we should have no desires. I joked that they should address this idea at supper time. Life, as Neville Goddard observed, is simply the appeasing of a hunger. Cheryl has a good hunger: "I wanted to get to know this Being that I was to turn my will and my life over to." That is not just a desire, that is our ASSIGNMENT, the fulfilling of which is our life's PURPOSE. This is the sacred undertaking: "The food that I came for is to satisfy whom sent me and to adhere to his mission" (John 4:34 Alexander). What Jesus was doing in the Illustration is what we should be doing 24/7.

Cheryl mentioned that she keeps track of my reading suggestions, and here is a big one: Freedom From A Self-Centered Life/ Dying to Self -- Selections From The Writings Of William Law, Edited by Andrew Murray (1977, Minneapolis: Dimension Books, Bethany Fellowship, Inc.). I was walking by one of my bookcases and the word freedom caught my eye. The book is actually a commentary on Law's Spirit of Love, specifically on the dialogue between Theogenes and Theophilus in the third part of that text.

"There in nothing that darkens the hearts, even of God's children, so universally and so effectually as the spirit of the world or worldly-mindedness--seeking or delighting in the pleasures, the pride, or the wisdom of this world" (p. 56).

"Now covetousness, pride, and envy are not three different things, but three different names for the restless workings of one and the same will or desire...it must covet, because it is a desire proceeding from want; it must envy, because it is a desire turned to self; it must assume and arrogate, because it is a desire founded on a real want of exaltation, or a higher state" (p. 62).

"For nothing is the way to God but our heart. God is nowhere else to be found, and the heart itself cannot find Him, or be helped by anything else to find Him but by its own love of Him, faith in Him, dependence upon Him, resignation to Him, and expectation of all from Him" (p. 109 emphasis in the original).

"If I desire anything but that which God would have me to be and to do, I stick in the mire of covetousness" (p. 118).

"He is the eternal love and meekness that left the bosom of His Father to be the resurrection of meekness and love in all the darkened, wrathful souls of fallen men (p. 114)...Love is the Christ of God (p. 131)...(T)here is but one salvation for all mankind, and that is the life of God in the soul. God is one, human nature is one, salvation is one, and the way to it is one, and that is the desire of the soul turned to God" (p. 136).

"But the light of God cannot arise or be found in you by any art or contrivance of your own, but only and solely in the way of that meekness, humility, and patience, which waits, trusts, resigns to, and expects all, from the inward, living, life-giving operation of the Triune God within you" (p. 135 emphasis in the original).

You used to get a lot for a dollar ninety-five.

Joseph Alai on Awareness (God) Expressing Impression

Clear-headed presentation: The SECRET that Changed Manifesting for Me FOREVER! (The Subconscious Has NO Limitations)

Awareness knows how to get it done, how to push impression out into reality. So impress the human subconscious which is the Awareness. Do the Four Mighty Ones of Seedtime and Harvest: select a theme (what is it that you want?)

Author a scene which implies that it IS true.

Direct your imagination over and over, if necessary, into seeing the scene as reality...

...and as the actor, do so.

Got to do the doing.

While you are there, thinking from that imagined "real" experience, fall asleep.

And do not doubt it.

Matthew 22:31-32 - "God of the LIVING," Because He is the God of YOU

"'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob,' and he was not the God of the dead, except of the Living" (Matthew 22:32 Alexander, emphasis mine).

He is the God of the living, because He is the God of us, and we are living. He is the God of our Father, of everyone's Father, for He is the Consciousness of the ineffable (...?), Who has become everything. "As the Beginning, (the Ineffable) created God, the heavens, and the earth" (Genesis 1:1 Cooper). Everything comes from the Ineffable. Its Consciousness is Its "Son."

He was not the God of the dead. Note that in Exodus 3:15, He is "the God of your father." Moses' father was dead. What? He didn't make it to heaven? Not Moses' earthly father, but Creation's Father. The Ineffable acts, or "gods," by Its Consciousness. The Ineffable's Consciousness is our "God," thus it is the God of our Father, the Ineffable.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are resurrection conditions in us if we are living. Abraham is our faith in God, Isaac is our delight in God, and Jacob is our reliance on God. "I am the Ineffable's action, the God of your faith, the God of your delight, and the God of your reliance."

It is a Running, Open-ended End

I wrote this before; it is worth repeating: It is a running end. It is always the "last days." People search the scriptures trying to figure out (and unceasingly argue about) freewill, predestination, foreknowledge, guidance, influence, determination, etc., etc. Are we in the last days? When will Jesus, Who has never left, return? Pre, post, mid? Spiritual? Physical? Millennium or no? People wonder about the end.

Simplify. The ineffable (...?) is unconditioned awareness of being. It is before the beginning of anything, until It conditions Its awareness by imagining Itself to be something. It conceives a thing that COULD be as though it were, and, assuming that thing's END, then BECOMES that conceived thing (see Neville Goddard, Your Faith is Your Fortune, chapter one).

But from that END the ineffable (...?) conceives the next moment and becomes THAT. From any END It can conceive - and thus condition Itself - to go to any other transition. There is always another END. The (...?) does not get lost or confused or stymied. It can work out any conflict, deal with any paradox, co-ordinate through any constraint. It is not surprised by anything (O gosh! Where did that come from?) It conceives; It becomes what It conceived. It conceives; It becomes what It conceived. It conceives; It becomes what It conceived.

Now, you do it. For It conceived us to be It. We are the ineffable (...?) becoming Itself. Conceive, believe, receive. Focus on what you want, your end objectives. Write them out. God did. Imagine them as achieved; assume they are the truth. Be grateful for them.

"Wait, Dan, no. They do not exist yet."

Yes they do. You see them in your mind. That IS existence. Give the materialization of them up to God.

Genesis 3:22-24, We Are Going Through This Because We ARE Going To Life Forever: The Way Of Eden

I just discovered an apparent difference in the ancient Aramaic point of view, per Victor Alexander's translation, from the modern Western theological understanding. It says in the Aramaic Genesis 3:22 that Adam "extended his hand and took from the tree of life and ate, so he could live forever (to the end of the universe)." So it is a given that we are to go on living forever. You know, of course, that the Western Bible says that God kicked Adam out of Eden "lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever." That is, God gave Adam the boot to keep him from doing it. But we are not in this state to keep us from eating of the tree of life; we are here because we did. This world is the because-you-are-going-to-live-forever-you-have-to-till-the-land program. Because Adam was (and is) going to live forever, "so He drove out the man."

I discovered this while looking into the word Horeb. I believe that Mount Horeb (Aramaic: Khooriv) is a particular meditative state. I once achieved it. I was actually driven to it in a vision. 'Horeb' means heat, to parch - a wasteland, desolation: a barren place laid waste by conflict, a hot, dry place of thorn bushes. No, it was not a happy place for me. It was a place of deep regret. Yet I am SO glad I found it, that I was driven to it by Jesus Christ. For it was through this emotional desolation that I received the Holy Spirit. Because of that experience I believe that the "burning bush" referred to in Moses' vision in Mount Horeb points to an emotional state he experienced in meditation, a meditation about Jethro, God's abundance. In my meditation I saw that I had enjoyed God's largesse without recognizing Him, honoring Him, or even ever thanking Him. I had robbed God of whatever use He purposed for me when He had given me life. He owned me, and I had stolen me. I was a rebel, a thief, and there was no rock big enough to hide me from the Infinite I was kneeling before.

God brought me to "the flaming sword which turned every way (as thorns do), to preserve the way of the tree of life" (Genesis 3:24c KJV parenthesis mine; see Mount-Sinai by Jeff A. Benner), because I am going to live forever, and He wants me to become like Him. I have got to be submitted to Him, honoring Him, loving Him, delighting in Him for that to happen. Moses serves God in Horeb.

Victor Alexander's translation's footnote says, "And ejected him the Lord God, and climb up from the Easterlies the Paradise of Eden carob and the swords teeth and returnable would be to guard the road of the Tree of Life." "And the swords teeth" = the thorn bush: that distasteful, hard-to-accept, humiliating submission of the whole person to the will of God. Whole-hog un-ness. Total God acceptance.

KJV: "So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." I enlarge on Bullinger notes in The Companion Bible: a) placed = Hebrew shakan, to place in a tabernacle, hence, to dwell. This is a watched holy place; b) "a flaming sword" = "the flaming sword, the thorny required submission; and c) "every way" is Hebrew haphak, meaning every way, effectually preserving submission as the only way of the tree of life.

How Really to Pray: Believe That What You Desire is in State of Existence

Forgive the state you are in, the way things are. They have to end. You have to give up this world. IF the world was the way you wish it were, what would that world be? It would not be this one. THAT world this world must change into; what would it BE? Okay, now in your mind's eye, it IS. We are now in that day, the day in which what you desired now exists. What your imagination conceived has become by Him. Enjoy it with all your senses. Feel its reality. Walk around. Feel things. They're real!! Thank God for it. Praise, adore, and worship Him with gratitude. Now that you are here, take a nap. When you wake up, if it was real, wait for it, for it is becoming real. When it has, you have found HIM, God, your own, wonderful HUMAN imagination. This has ever been His shtick. Now it is yours.

Neville Goddard's How Really to Pray

Start Writing Your Themes

R. H. J. in It Works would have us make a list of what we want, what we wish for and desire in order of their importance to us. I think each individual desire is a theme of what we want (see Neville Goddard, Seedtime and Harvest). Rather than make a list, write down each theme on an individual sheet of paper. On the sheet you can elaborate details of the desire, describe a scene that implies that it exists and is received, and fill in other incidentals. Ordering their importance and eliminating no longer desired items becomes a simple matter of shuffling or discarding pages. The things desired can be reviewed, prayed for, and visualized individually instead of as a mass of disjointed figures - just turn the pages one by one, and spend as much time as you need on each. I suppose we could vision-board each theme's page, too.

Loose-leaf binders seem like a good idea. Half-sheet (5 1/2" by 8 1/2" paper and binders are available.

Remember to honor and thank God who directs all things. While Pharaoh is the one who said, "So let it be written; so let it be done," in the movie, history would have been much different if he had honored God and yielded to Moses, who you are. Recognition of the Omnipotent Power "I" am is more important than all the things It can bestow upon you.

Evidence of Him

I think. I write. It becomes. My imagination - "Me" - is Him dreaming that what I conceive IS. And it ises naturally, which is Him.

A More Excellent Way

I have repeatedly asked readers to listen to teachings by T.L. Osborn. T.L. had witnessed William Marrion Branham heal in Jesus' name by rebuking and casting out spirits of infirmity. The logic was that all illness was caused by the Devil, Satan, at the fall of Man he had orchestrated. We are forgiven by right of Jesus' suffering and death, so the Devil has no authority to enforce his affliction of any believer's body. The believer's authority over Satan is a big deal in the Pentecostal Church and Christianity in general.

T.L. took this and ran with it, casting out demons of every sort of sickness. Then, in Uganda, God brought him up short: "Do you have more faith in your ability to cast out devils than you have in the healing power of My love?" Osborn taught the Ugandans the love of God, and God healed them.

I bring this up because I was just listening to Joseph Murphy talking about how he dealt with a woman whose daughter was near death by a high fever. Murphy recognized that the child's fever was the result of the mother's chaotic and agitated state of mind. He did not cast the Devil out of her or out of the child, but had the mother read Psalm 23 and pray with a reorganized mind love and calmness for her daughter. The fever left the child as the mother's mind was healed by love.

Our ignorance causes a lot of interference as we seek to find God, to imagine and to pray effectively. Major in God's love. Thank Him for the joy, health, success, love and peace He GAVE us in Jesus' suffering and death. Personally, I look at the death of the Beginning (as the Son entered material reality), the event Jesus' suffering and death illustrated. But indeed, illustration works.

Seekers May Need To Cross Paths With The Church

What I like about C.F. Rehnborg and Maarten Matisse is that they were church-skeptical seekers after the truth. Wrestled in their own minds. I participated in the Methodist Church up through high school, then fell away a good bit in the Navy and subsequent occult leadings. Hey, it was the late 1960s and early 70s. After my mind's eye incident with the demon and Jesus I launched into seekerdom. Accepting the Sonship of Jesus and then the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and then Jesus' speaking to me in my physical brain, I set off to find out what else God had SPOKEN to people. This has led me to understand that God usually speaks in illustration.

Ideas enter our imagination from the imagination He is (and that is exactly how far away He is). He draws us a picture. The Book of Genesis is a picture of one person's psychological evolution, like what some go through in Alcoholics Anonymous. I find in our encompassing manifestation (see Gregg Braden's The Seven Essene Mirrors) conversation from God: "This is you, what your attitudes are like, what your relationship with Me is like, (and etc.)." Not always a happy time, but enlightening. It is the stuff I need to work on, so I do not try to get away from it. The big message I am getting all the time is to work on prayer. I do not Neville (the process he used), and need to. I mean on my knees enter the bliss my friend Janet Gunther found when she was healed of TB.

The only person I can remember by name being baptized in the Holy Spirit off on his own was J. Rodman Williams, my theology professor at Melodyland School of Theology. Most others receive the baptism with the laying on of hands from ministers. If you are standing there and they press you off balance at the forehead, that is not being slain in the spirit, that is the sensation of falling. I was on my knees oblivious to the ministers' hands on my shoulders. God gave me an illustration trip to my sin and to repentance, and then to a new life. Maybe I have crossed over. It certainly is a new world. Oh, I was going to say I responded to Cheryl's inquiry about demons at

https://imagicworldview.blogspot.com/2021/06/and-continues-on-demons.html

Thanks for reading.

Don't Let Go, Cheryl

Cheryl Craig closed her most recent comment "Wresting (like Jacob perhaps) with God, wanting to think of myself when I hear the word Jesus Christ."

My advice: just imagine/ pray for others lovingly, for their blessings and success, health and all things good. Be generous and helpful, gracious and all things good. Be forgiving and long-suffering. After BEING Jesus Christ for awhile, you will naturally associate yourself with Him when you hear Your name.

Dr. Joseph Murphy- When You Say I AM, You Are Annoucing The Presence Of The Living GOD Within You

And Continues on Demons

Hi Dan,

I was wondering if you could explain to me your definition of demon as you referenced it to A Course In Miracles. If there is no Satan, what does it mean to be demon processed? I have had my doubts about A Course In Miracles though I see similarities to what Neville has taught. No, I have never spoken in tongues, I have no church. I am a simple seeker of truth. Almost 30 years ago I entered the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and God is mentioned in several of the steps so I wanted to get to know this Being that I was to turn my will and my life over to. It has led me down some crazy paths but the minute I heard Neville Goddard teach I just knew it was truth, it was so obvious that God would be man becoming God. I just knew. Thanks for sharing your insights about the ego and the death of the old man. When I asked if you had crossed over I meant experienced the death of the ego, poor choice of words. I guess that is what I am working on now, Wresting (like Jacob perhaps) with God, wanting to think of myself when I hear the word Jesus Christ. Take Care Dan.

Cheryl C.

__________________________

I see God as an infinite energy that is conscious and powerful to become what It believes It is. It is the Consciousness of the ineffable No-thing, the (...?). It WAS formless, but as It becomes what It imagines, It has taken on form. Countless forms. Forms of consciousness I call conscii. All are "Him" (the Consciousness has all the hallmarks of a Person), and all are subject to Him. Because all were created (imagined - that's how He becomes) for Him. Although the energy/Consciousness is a Person, It is not a person, a three or multi-dimensional light-primate. The Big Guy in the Big Chair is an illustration for our consciences' sake. For that is how we think of a really big, powerful man in absolute authority: we have to think of a man, a consci. Conscium? A form.

We were conscii in the energy and flipped into this dream of separation from God. The flip entails a loss of awareness or amnesia regarding what we really are. We become forms of ignorance. Why the HECK would we do that? Because in our form we imagined whatever God imagined. We just read it: "first conceiving, then becoming that conceived" (Your Faith is Your Fortune p.9). We were God ignorant of being God, locked into a monotony of responses without the freedom of input (listen to "Unless I Go Away" any number of times, Sunflower). GOD WANTS US TO BE LIKE HIM. We are hardly His manifestation/ form unless we are as He. And without freedom we are not like Him at all.

Demons, in my opinion, are manifestations of ignorance. I do not know if they are merely illustrative forms of OUR ignorance, or if they are conscii who rebelled against the notion that the energy is a Person or is good at all. I take comfort in the fact that illustration works (if you believe the picture of the real thing, you have believed the real thing). Whatever demons are, they are naturally below us in authority, just as we are naturally below the Son of God in authority. They cannot get in us to take over our minds unless we lower our authority to them. That is what the demon I encountered was setting me up to do, to allow him to enter to influence my mind directly. And that is what I suppose (it is just my opinion), the course is designed to do. Edgar Cayce, Jean Dixon, Ruth Montgomery, Seth Speaks - that's the stuff I was saved out of. I have no interest in going back. Does it get you miracles, or does it get you on your face before Him With Whom We Have To Do? Miracles prove God regardless of who is doing them. If a person is stiff-necked after that, well, he or she is not thinking very clearly.

Conversation with Cheryl Craig Continues

Hi Dan,

I was thinking a lot about the "becoming" part of "I Am that I Am." The becoming must mean the death of the ego self, right? A Course In Miracles has a lesson that states basically the only reason we experience anger, fear, illness or pain is because we choose it. It got me thinking about the death of the old man, the "mudman" as you refer to our humanness. In a post you wrote you gave an example of the word Yod Hei Vav Hei as the hand of God, reaching out (with a coin) and another hand receiving the coin. (Interesting to me, A Course In Miracles teaches that giving and receiving are the same, If I Am God, this would be true.) There is a lot more resistance to letting the "old man" die than I realized. It gets me stuck in the knowing but not experiencing the Power of God because I am not extending my hand to His. I feel the resistance in my heart center, bigtime! Neville said the mind is like a wild horse that needs taming. But I keep coming back to I must be a doer of the word and not a hearer only. This is my becoming or I am stuck in I Am, never transitioning to "that I Am." Have you made the cross over? Have you left the old man behind? Any advice to do so? I see that you focus a lot on the the Aramaic translation "Ahiyer-Ashur-Hiyeh" and I think with good reason. It has more meaning than I think I even realize. It is a key stone to understanding my true self.

Sincerly,

Cheryl C

Have I crossed over? Hardly. I have received the earnest of the Holy Spirit. Are you a tongue-speaking baptized in the Holy Ghost Pentecostal (regardless of your denomination)? I have to ask, because you have mentioned A Course In Miracles a number of times. I have never read it, have never looked at it or investigated it. But spiritual discernment tells me it is from the same place as the demon that led me into Eastern religions and philosophies, Transcendental Meditation, and the occult to groom me for possession. I am not afraid to read it, but find no value in or purpose to read it. And I do not think the Holy Spirit would allow a Christian to read it peacefully. We have our own course, and a real good Teacher.

Have I crossed over? I am not even sure what that means. I am trying to mortify the lusts of the flesh, but I am not leaving the poor old donkey behind. I am taking him with me. I have, after all, come to redeem him. Yes, I know; it just gets confusinger and confusinger. Perhaps it is semantic. The death of the ego-self is not death as much as submission and sublimation. This is in the realm of love and self-control. What we do is with a nod of honor and submission to God, "Let my hands be your hands, my words be your words," & etc., and let God become - let Him god- THROUGH our actions. Which is my advice. If you have not received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with euphoric tongues, receive it. You only have to ask, and do not be afraid to kneel. It has already been GIVEN.

God has set aside a period of time for us to get to Him and to accomplish all this stuff. That period of time is called 'eternity'. It is not going away unless we reject it.

I hope you understand that while God is one, He is not just one. His consciousness erupts in what I call conscii. People call us angels, messengers, and whatever, but we are just the consciousness of God in conscious bits. Not all real smart, not all real good, but lumps of God nevertheless. Think of the ocean. A calm, flat ocean. This is the field of God's power in this illustration. Just made it up this morning. The water is made up of quantum bits, atoms, molecules, dissolved minerals. These form into life-forms and dissolve again. The forms think, react, pursue life and the perpetuation of the species - all the same ocean. It does not care, but is positive toward life. And our universe is an ocean. Conscii have been forming in it for what? A dozen billion years? Our solar system is only four billion years old. I am sure there are conscii who know that they are made up of God, of Its life, presence, and love. Who know that all is One, and speak for this their religion. We receive from God, and give back to Him. If it were the same thing, imagically wouldn't you self-impregnate?

'Moses' = "Calmed From The Waters": Exodus 3:14 Conversation with God

That imagination is God is truth, and that No-thing transcends from unconditioned awareness of being into the thing It conceives is truth. Moses is the germ of the Gospel (i.e., germ of the reward) in us when we are calmed from the waters. God appears to inform us toward receiving the reward. I think a lot about what he said in Exodus 3:14. The Hebrew seems to say, 'ehyeh 'asher 'ehyeh, "I AM THAT I AM" (I exist simply because I do").

The Aramaic says, Ahiyeh-Ashur-hiyeh, (1) "Ahiyeh": "the One Who Comes in His Coming," the absolute sense of "the One Who Comes." (2) "Ashur": "the Beginning Spark that kindles the Fire" or "the Light." (3) "Hiyeh": "His Coming." (4) "Ahiyeh" and "hiyeh" are related forms of the same word. They mean more than "the Coming." They signify also the "Eternal Presence," "the Ever-Present," and the "Never Ceasing Intent of the Comer to Come." (5) In the same way, "Ashur" signifies "the Uncreated Creator who Creates Everything from Nothing." (6) Also, "Ashur" signifies: "Above-the-Flames."

Neville Goddard has the idea that "Imagination plus faith are the reality out of which man fashions his world. What do I mean by 'imagination'? I mean God. Man is all imagination, and God is man and exists in us, and we in Him. The eternal body of man is the imagination, and that is God Himself. The Divine Body of Jesus - we are His members. It is entirely up to us what we imagine. But, it is imagination plus faith. For we are told that without faith it is impossible to please Him"..."Moses said to God, 'If I go to the Israelites, and I say to them that the God of your forefathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, "What is His name?" what shall I say?' And God said to Moses, say, 'I am.' (For) THAT is who I am! Just say 'I am' has sent you. For that is My name forever, and by this name I shall be known throughout all generations. I have no other name." Just be aware, to be aware is to say, "I am." Without uttering one sound; just to be aware; that is "I am." That is God. Now, that's what I mean by 'imagination'.

I believe the Hebrew word hayah (Strong's 1961), the root of 'ehyeh, "I Am," indicates transition: I become, or I come to pass. Also, hiyeh is third person: he becomes, or he comes to pass. God, the imagination, the creator we are, transcends into or becomes that which it conceives. So Exodus 3:14 could be translated and understood to be our imagination saying, "My coming into being is the creator's coming into being." Just say, "My coming into being sent me to you." To enlighten our coming into being. THAT's what the Bible is about.

Unconditional Awareness of Being is Our Basis

In the first two pages of Your Faith is Your Fortune, Neville discusses unconditional awareness of being as being the starting point for creative imagining. Because that is God. And it is what God does. Well, here; no sense in your having to look it up:

BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS

Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I AM. – John 8:58

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

In the beginning was the unconditioned awareness of being, and the unconditioned awareness of being became conditioned by imagining itself to be something, and the unconditioned awareness of being became that which it had imagined itself to be; so did creation begin.

By this law – first conceiving, then becoming that conceived – all things evolve out of No-thing; and without this sequence there is not anything made that is made.

Before Abraham or the world was – I AM. When all of time shall cease to be – I AM. I AM the formless awareness of being conceiving myself to be man. By my everlasting law of being I am compelled to be and to express all that I believe myself to be.

I AM the eternal No-thingness containing within my formless self the capacity to be all things. I AM that in which all my conceptions of myself live and move and have their being, and apart from which they are not.

I dwell within every conception of myself; from this withinness, I ever seek to transcend all conceptions of myself. By the very law of my being, I transcend my conceptions of myself, only as I believe myself to be that which does transcend.

I AM the law of being and beside ME there is no law. I AM that I AM.

Neville's point is: THAT is US! We and everything else are within. Things are conceived and No-thing transcends to become that conceived, but the evolution "out of" the No-thing does NOT mean outside. It means it evolves from the No-thing inside of It, from Its THOUGHTS.
