An Imagic World Problem: Lone Women Indicate Unfulfilled Desires of Errant Prayer Life

I was blessed to attend my fiftieth high school reunion the other night. Yeah, class of 1967. I got to talk with several of my old classmates. Exciting. Yet at the end of the evening I walked back to my car dismayed. Because there were a number of very pretty girls at my high school, and now they are single and without family. That was scary. I knew something was going on.

At the reunion I happened to sit across from the girl who was the most beautiful and nicest girl of my graduating class. I mentioned what I thought, and others at the table agreed. My comments were not meant to be a come-on or flattery, they were just an observation sincerely meant remembering those days. I was delighted to find that she and other classmates at the table had lived and worked in Hawaii as I had, and that some were still living there. What disturbed me was that this "most desirable" woman is now alone in the world. Another girl I dated in high school also confided that she was alone and said she had never even felt love (this was not a pick-up line from her, either—I am way too married; I guess I look like an old doctor good for counsel or something). Anyway, meeting these and other single women at the party, recalling my own single female family members, and remembering Love's (a lonely anonymous commenter to my posts) plight, I realized that I was looking at an IMAGIC MANIFESTATION. The world swung into revelation mode.

In my worldview, everything is an image of something about God as He is manifest in us and as us. Our lives and environments are pronouncements of His state, His real-time manifestation here and now. Our lives are His speech. It is not always good, because it emanates from what we believe and accept. Kind of a collective declaration of status, a reference to how we are doing. If you think about it, the processes of reproduction, respiration, digestion, the circulatory and nervous systems, all represent characteristics of God's nature. Relations, things in the animal kingdom, the manifest universe all around us--everything reveals God in one way or another. (The last word in John 1:18, not having an object, must be translated "revealed.") This is, after all, His manifestation, so everything images Him. To "see" Him, we look at "it"; i.e., everything that is going on in and around us. Life reflects Him. If we do not like it, we can change ourselves--change what we believe and/or accept and our corresponding actions. I think this is the point of Gregg Braden's discussion on the Seven Essene Mirrors (he doesn't look like that anymore). And here are these lovely, single women.

Imagically, women are desires. The life-force of God which is Adam, "God's blood," in desiring a thing becomes that thing's "mother," its life-giver. Adam's desire is Eve. This spirit is feminine gender, just as Sarai, Abram's wife, is spiritual striving which does not bare fruit. Aspirations and desires for success get old and weak. What was once full of potential eventually becomes impotent, like the woman with an issue of blood. Jairus (Mark 5:22-41) had the right idea for his withering ambition: he went to Jesus. Just as Abram with God had become Abraham, the Merciful Father, and by that Sarai became young princess Sarah, bearing Isaac, Laughter, Jairus in going to Jesus (YHWH/God's-action-in-us) touched God. Jairus' old desire came to life again as vibrant and full of potential as a twelve-year-old girl.

Were to God we were going to God. An imagic world full of single women tells me that we are not seeking God, are not touching God well. Women should have spouses, families, fulfillment of all their potential. I still can hardly believe that the most beautiful and nicest girl of my class fifty years later has no family, a woman who should be as a young princess to some loving, wonderful man. Her Isaac--laughter--is waiting to be born to an Abraham.

WE, IGNORANCED GOD IN THE PROCESS OF BECOMING GOD MANIFEST, NOT INVOLVING/TOUCHING GOD IN OUR DESIRES/PURSUIT OF SUCCESS, ARE THE CAUSE OF THIS! I suppose that some women must be alone, because some men are not reaching out to/touching God. It is imagic of our lives. Whatever the cause for our spiritual atrophy, pray that people will reach out and involve God in the prayerful pursuit of their desires. Let's hope no woman has to be alone.

The Healing Congregation

What is it with healings in meetings? I hurt my back in Honolulu, and wasn't healed until I got back to my congregation in Walnut, California. My shorter arm grew out a bit when Charles Hunter prayed for many at Melodyland Christian Center. Many attend evangelistic crusades and healing services and do get healed. What is it about a bunch of us getting together?

I have been healed on my own, alone. Janet was healed of tuberculosis while alone. Well, we really weren't alone; we knew we were in the presence of God. Is that what is happening in healing meetings? Watch T. L. Osborn campaigns on Youtube.com. He tells sick believers and unbelievers alike that God is powerful and here, and they get healed. Deaf hear, blind see, lame walk. Kathryn Kuhlman absolutely basked in the presence of the Holy Spirit. He is always here. Why did the people only get healed in the congressional meeting? Is it that group perception makes the presence tangible?

God does not need group faith. He doesn't need to show off. I think there may be something educational about it. Maybe it is illustrative. "Y'all get together in one accord and there is healing in it. An automatic corrective. A manifestation." Our lives alone are sufficient in living faith, but what they are short of may be found in the living body. God sure is weird.

Theology is Prayer Technology, the Bible is Its Manual

Moses' Great Introduction: "As the Beginning (Action/Thing - YHWH, "Jesus"), (the Unidentifiable) created (imagined) God (we as Its individualized imaginings), the Heavens (minds), and the Earth (manifestations)" (Genesis 1:1, my take on a number of sources). All of it together is one. This is what facilitates prayer, which is all that Moses is going to be talking about!

That is my opinion, anyway. More forthcoming.

I think it is a general misconception that "in the beginning" refers to a period of time. 'In' does not, in my opinion, mean at that time, but indicates the substance that the Beginning was made out of. So "in the beginning was the Word" means the Word WAS the beginning thing: it was IN what was "the Beginning." In Genesis 1:1, the Ineffable is the substance of the Son who was the Beginning. AS this Beginning, essentially Its own action, the Ineffable created - imagined/planned all the way through - God, the Heavens, and the Earth. What was the Beginning, the Son or Word or Manifestation that the Ineffable was? Thought. Mind. Imagination. Consciousness. Everything was created as this prayer. And now we are on board.

It has taken me a long time to figure out that Moses continues on this level in his theology of prayer, the Pentateuch. I understand that it mentions dust and earth, but Adam, Eve, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph - they are all manifestations of the Ineffable's mind. Noah's animals are thoughts; goats and flocks are philosophical, sacrificial thoughts. It is all on mind level. Moses was saying, "You want to pray? You do it in and with your mind - that's where the action is. That's where the power is, in it's continuity with the Ineffable who sent it, who actually IS it."

Work From The Cleft

I re-read Neville Goddard's Seedtime and Harvest. Backwards. Chapter nine through one (I like to know where I am going). I heard, "take it up a notch." Neville said the Bible is all psychological. It is that, but up a notch. It isn't about psychology; the characters are the psychological elements of the mind. Nothing in the Bible is about any man.

Jesus Christ is the QUALITY of our consciousness being the action of the Ineffable. It is not me thinking of something, but my MIND thinking it. Perhaps I should say the Original Mind in me. Each of us are two, though one: the Original Mind, and the human annexed, two natures combined. I can say, "I believe," but it is a matter of my MIND believing; otherwise, I am FANTASIZING that I believe. I remember He is Glorious God, but MIND must remember He is Glorious God. It is a step less of dualism in the mind. So when I am doing the Producer, Author, Director, Actor thing, it is my MIND doing it if I have the right focus. Focus is being in the cleft behind God and seeing through his eyes.

In Seedtime and Harvest, Neville writes about Jacob's ladder as being stages of values, of meaning, and their corresponding levels of consciousness. There is the basic observation of the physical, the how, the why, and I suppose you could impose the seven Essene Mirrors as steps of the ladder, layers of our being. And YHWH, the action of the Ineffable's imagination at the top.

What I got from this was that manifestation comes from the top down. Changing here involves changing the top. That is why we have to relax and enter sleepiness, to float into the unconditioned YHWH state. YHWH is the top manifesting here, and allows us to become him unconditioned to revise this state. Chalk it up to the Law of Reversibility (everything is one every which way it can). Go there, de-condition, re-condition as you will, and establish the consequential sign of that desired state made real. It is a prayer technology.

Confucius' The Great Learning keeps coming to mind. Confucius' part takes all of a few minutes to read. Incalculable value in it. "To illustrate illustrious virtue; to renovate the people; and to rest in the highest excellence . . . lay in the investigation of things." We must know exactly what we want. Don't sell yourself short. Expand what you desire, your definition of it. Grand scale. Sure, we are satisfied with bread and raiment, but ALL of Canaan is given us. What all there do you want? Assume it.

See page 11 of http://www.indiana.edu/%7Ep374/Daxue-Zhongyong.pdf

This is the "classic" text:

The Great Learning, by Confucius (written ca. 500 B.C.E)

What the great learning teaches, is to illustrate illustrious virtue; to renovate the people; and to rest in the highest excellence.

The point where to rest being known, the object of pursuit is then determined; and, that being determined, a calm unperturbedness may be attained to. To that calmness there will succeed a tranquil repose. In that repose there may be careful deliberation, and that deliberation will be followed by the attainment of the desired end.

Things have their root and their branches. Affairs have their end and their beginning. To know what is first and what is last will lead near to what is taught in the Great Learning.

The ancients who wished to illustrate illustrious virtue throughout the kingdom, first ordered well their own states. Wishing to order well their states, they first regulated their families. Wishing to regulate their families, they first cultivated their persons. Wishing to cultivate their persons, they first rectified their hearts. Wishing to rectify their hearts, they first sought to be sincere in their thoughts. Wishing to be sincere in their thoughts, they first extended to the utmost their knowledge. Such extension of knowledge lay in the investigation of things.

Things being investigated, knowledge became complete. Their knowledge being complete, their thoughts were sincere. Their thoughts being sincere, their hearts were then rectified. Their hearts being rectified, their persons were cultivated. Their persons being cultivated, their families were regulated. Their families being regulated, their states were rightly governed. Their states being rightly governed, the whole kingdom was made tranquil and happy.

From the Son of Heaven down to the mass of the people, all must consider the cultivation of the person the root of everything besides.

It cannot be, when the root is neglected, that what should spring from it will be well ordered. It never has been the case that what was of great importance has been slightly cared for, and, at the same time, that what was of slight importance has been greatly cared for.

What Shall the Mud-man Do?

If it is true that I am an imagination of the Most High, and all he requires of me while I am in this mud-man life is to remember that he is Glorious God, what, then, should I do with this mud-man life he has given me?

It was an odd sort of forgiveness, if you want to call it that. I was overwhelmed with guilt, for I had lived a life of rebellion. I had done whatever I desired to do with the life God had given me, with never a thought of what had he given the life to me for, or even a word of thanks. I had taken his life as mine, and in so doing I had stolen all the time I could have and should have been doing whatever it was he created me for.

And now I was facing Him. I couldn't do anything to make amends. All I could do was to stop doing what I was doing, and take whatever came. I expected some kind of make up for lost time, or some kind of discipline. He was the Highest, the Glorious God; and I was a mud-man, a simple object of his possession. Yet he hadn't squashed me, and I waited for my task.

"Remember this, and it is all right," was all he said in the faintest of voices. No payback? No vengeance? What about my selfish, rebellious past, my sin? Forget about it. Whatever you do, remember this; that I am Glorious God, and you are my mud-man. That's it. And then it's all right.

I guess you'd call it forgiveness. Grace. Mercy. I expected condemnation, because I was feeling plenty of that. I saw the condemnation worthiness of myself. All I knew at the moment was that I wasn't condemned, but accepted, and I went with that: Danny the Holy Roller. TYJC!

No purpose but that I remember that he is Glorious God and I am me? What, then, do I do? Well, what does he want done? What is he doing? He has saved the world, and he wants the world to know it. And how. Okay, here is the blog The Becoming God. It is just a little bit, but hopefully it will contribute at least this little bit to changing the world the way he wants. Thank you for reading.

To the Point: the Antediluvian Patriarch Filler

There is a field of intelligence and power which far predates the earth. I conceive it as the accumulation of all spiritual experience of all the universe. It is, hence, pretty smart and pretty experienced. Was it eternal before the Big Bang, or eternal since? It doesn't matter: to us it is God, and there is no other.

We may assume that all contribution to the field has recognized that ignorance and its evil are bad, and that knowledge of spirituality and love are good. In this, the field is jealous; it desires manifestation of good, spirituality and love, and the elimination of ignorance and evil. The field has the power and motivation to act.

The field may be engaged more directly in meditation. It informed Moses. The field is in man as consciousness and works through imagination. With regard to mankind, it has an agenda, an objective: to make man like it. The informed Moses wrote the Pentateuch to this end, making the Torah not only a success manual for man, but for God.

We find ourselves in a situation: we are consciousness in man ignorant of our potential, and God, the field, wants us to make progress toward field-ness. Early Genesis explains: the field has created a plan for us (Genesis 1); our ignorance is mucking things up (the Fall); we think what "is" is permanent, missing its transitoriness (Cain and Abel); and have substituted religion(s) in response to the fields' leading (Seth and Enosh). Religion is inadequate to the field's objective of our being like it.

God is something of a cracker: He wants us to become co-creators, for the word to be in our mouths, that we may do it and be like him. He brings forth our conscious surety of the inner man, Jacob. This revelation is, in Genesis chapter five, Kenan (Cainan). Not a man other than each of us, but a revelation and a realization, an element of our spiritual development.

Realization of our actual, spiritual inner man initiates conscious relationship with God. He has fame and praise in us, and we make a show of it, boasting and raving about Him. This shining forth in us is Mahalaleel (Mahalalel). ( I am reminded by Bullinger, Companion Bible, Genesis 32:28, margin note "Israel," that in compound names with Eil (El) or Yah, God is the doer of the verb portion. Hence, when we Kenan -- realize that our inner man is real -- it is GOD who throws out his hands and goes crazy.)

Jared means descent, but it is not our descent. The Highest descends to our consciousness.

Initiated into consciousness of the field, we narrow our focus and throttle down -- Enoch -- to be taught by its presence. It is always present, but we are not always in such clear communication with it. Here, we are concentrated on one channel.

Not necessarily a happy place to be, especially if your life has been at great variance to God. We suffer the sting of death due to sin and overwhelming guilt. "Would that I could die," Methuselah, but we can't. We have to be adult, and suffer the spear.

And what is the adult thing to do? Lamech: lay down our kingdom. Surrender utterly, and die of our self, of our self-lordship and self-control, which have been in rebellion against God. This is real prostration, the inner man, not the physical body.

Now what are you going to do? Not a God-damned thing. Because it would be. It is His move. In the rest of Noah, you are locked in your ark and float away to the field's re-creation of your world. You don't worry about it. You have everything you need within you -- all the thoughts God has brought you, the clean and holy thoughts of the field, and time. You think of the good things you like, Shem, and you imagine them as existing, Ham, in the experience of your world, Japheth.

NOW you feel it.

Things go pretty well, unless your imagining becomes perverted, which will curse Canaan, your perfect country.

Practical Speculation on the Purpose of God: His Agenda and Causation: the Names and Natures of the Antediluvian Patriarchs for Personal Character and Spiritual Development

(Added 02/14/2018: I found this woman's research interesting on Sid Roth's It's Supernatural TV program, at about 9:30 and following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MkJjLxZai8.)

Note: below is my long draft. I cut to the chase in a much shorter version:
http://imagicworldview.blogspot.com/2017/10/to-point-antediluvian-patriarchs.html

Why do prayer, the Law of Attraction, and causative imagination techniques not always work? Neville said that they always work, and if they don't, the problem is with us, not them. So, what with us may be the problem? In a word, the Antediluvian Patriarchs.

You know the Antediluvian Patriarchs as the men in the Bible who lived before the flood of Noah. This is real early, up through chapter five in the Book of Genesis. Everyone wonders how these early humans lived to be nine-hundred-plus years old. They didn't. They weren't men. Because the most important things Moses learned in the Book of Exodus, he put up front in the Book of Genesis, so we couldn't miss them. These "men" are manifestations of spiritual development; they are principles, natures we are to attain to in the course of our salvation. They have nothing whatsoever to do with secular history, except we haven't yet attained them, so our secular history is continuously screwed up. The patriarchs pertain to salvation history, THE personal history that has to happen in each and every one of us. If you consider the flood of Noah as a desirable goal, the Antediluvian Patriarchs are the force that gets it to rain.

The Patriarchs are a course that prepares us spiritually for causative imagination; i.e., creation. We are here to learn to create, but if we are not prepared for the work, we cannot do the work, because we do not even know what the work really is. The Antediluvian Patriarchs get us there. You might not want to get religious, but be ready to become Pentecostal.

The story isn't that some guys begot another guys; it is that states beget other states, "sons" to them. They are a buildup. God has an agenda for our lives, an objective we are supposed to be making progress on. The Antediluvian Patriarchs are the movement.

Let's rename them, because it is nuts to keep referring to states as people after you know they are states. They are, actually, developmental elements. Elements of spiritual development. We in our ignorance, which God hates, need to be developed, prepared through these elements, to do causative imagining according to his nature, which he likes. That will be our nature when the elements are our nature. Unity School of Christianity's Metaphysical Bible Dictionary (MBD) is available online and gives good estimates (hopefully) of the elements' meanings. If we take its entries as a guideline, and maybe pull shades of meaning from Strong's Exhaustive Concordance's Hebrew and Chaldee dictionary and Abarim Publications definitions, we can construct the line of progression we are all supposed to go through to become prepared. (NB: I am throwing in whatever I think, so don't blame Unity, Abarim, or anyone else for this.)

Moses did not write chapter by chapter. He set the stage of our present situation (Genesis up through chapter four: Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Seth and Enosh), and then introduced the developmental elements as its fix:

Adam, red; ruddy (from "to show blood"; hence, "to show Life"); reddish; firm. Adam is an everyman (as they all are). Adam is red because dam is the Hebrew word for blood, and aleph is the prefix for the divine. Adam is God's blood. It is the nature of the human race to be God's blood, his life-force. YOU, whoever you are, are Adam, the blood of God, the vehicle of his life: imagination.

MBD: The first movement of mind in its contact with life and substance. I.e., we are God's consciousness which has annexed -- been breathed into -- material form. Our imagining ("first movement of mind") is making us alive ("contact with life and substance").

Eve, elementary life; life; living. The causative form of "to live, to declare or show," hence, Life-giver. Eve is the feminine aspect of man, outwardly manifest: "male and female created he them." I.e., our surrounding world is made alive to us by our own imagining. It is our "bride," the extension (as one flesh) of ourselves.

The giving of life comes from our desire. We want something, and it isn't there. But everything exists in potential. We desire it, and in faith believe that it IS there, assuming that it is already received here fully and completely. As God's blood, imagination, desire's creative force becomes Eve, giving life in our world to that desired experience through God's orchestrations.

MBD: Love, or feeling, in individual consciousness -- the felt imagination. The I AM (wisdom) puts feeling into what it thinks, and so "Eve" (feeling) becomes the "mother of all living": the Life-giver. Feeling is Spirit, which quickens. Woman symbolizes the soul region of man and is the mother -- provider -- principle of God in expression. Back of the woman (feeling) is the pure life essence of God. Adam and Eve represent the I AM identified in life substance. They are the primal, elemental forces of Being itself.

Man is created as life-giving imagination, a portrait of God, and enters Ignorance, the undesirable factor of the Ineffable's Imagination.

While this may seem to be weird, speculative philosophy, I mean it as the real, nut-and-bolts reality of the spiritual realm: it is because of Ignorance that we MUST become spiritually enabled in the character, the nature of the Ineffable. God is a jealous God who wants us to be making progress this direction. The Ignorance we had as the Imagination of the Ineffable is still today stealing, killing, and destroying us. It strikes at us relentlessly. We must overcome it, crush its head, and become free. It isn't going away otherwise. We must develop our personal character and spiritual acuity through these developmental elements.

Cain, possession; acquisition; centralization; draws to itself; to its own center; selfishness; sharp; cutting; a lance. It is from the idea to hit a musical note, a constant: FIXITY. I.e., thinking that we are here, and staying here (a no-no). We create this experience and think that this is all there is. It is short sightedness. This is manifestation of our ignorance. NB: the brother, Abel, that gets killed, is TRANSITORINESS, and Seth is his replacement.

MBD: Cain means possession, acquisition, centralization, that which draws to itself, selfishness. Cain refers directly to that part of the human consciousness which strives to acquire and possess.

The killing, by the body-selfishness of fixity, of the potentials of transitoriness, is represented by Cain's slaying of Abel. When the body demands possession of all the resources of mind and soul, and reduces existence to mere material living, it has slain Abel, and our blood, imagination, continually cries from the earthly consciousness to the Lord for expression.

Abel, breath or vanity; transitoriness; a vapor. Emptiness, something transitory or unsatisfactory, vain in act, word, or expectation. Abel is the emptiness of this experience. What the heck do we want with this place, anyway? It is in reality a vapor, an illusion, unreal. Zero, zilch, nada value. The only real value here is spiritual consciousness.

Abel is what this really is (spiritual consciousness and zilch else), Cain is what we think of it, that it is continuous, completely forgetting what it really is.

Seth, settled; determined; founded; set, as put in the place of another; placed; disposed; constituted; substituted (for another); compensation.

MBD: The root idea of this name is that of a surrounding sympathetic movement that envelops a thing and defines its limits, places it, founds it, disposes of it. Some mystics have seen in the name Seth a law of destiny, that which predetermines a thing and settles its order.

I.e., religion.

While man is in a sense a creature of free will, yet in a larger sense he is a son of God, made in the image and likeness of God, and is destined to express and demonstrate spiritual perfection. There is in all the universe, including man, a balancing power of good, of perfection, which causes a readjustment, a healing, to set in after every transgression of the law, every wandering away from that which is wholesome and true. We find this set forth very clearly in Bible history and symbology. Man seems ever to have wandered away to the limit; then a great reaction has set in, and he has been led back to a saner level. Thus he evolves, grows; and finally he shall come into a full consciousness of his perfect good. His growth into Christlikeness is accelerated greatly as he comes into a knowledge of the Truth that makes free, and thinks and acts consciously, voluntarily, in harmony with it.

I.e., religion. I am not endorsing religion here. I think religion is the second greatest enemy of God, right after ignorance itself.

Enosh, mutable being; transient man; corporeal man; mortal man; suffering man; miserable man. Frail, feeble, sickly, or melancholy. Enosh means a miserable man, mortal man. This is what we find ourselves to be in religion, but religion teaches us differently (i.e., that we are called to be a higher being, but cannot do it on our own).

MBD: See SETH in conjunction with this name; the two must be studied together in order to get the full significance of this one.
__________________________________

Moses set he stage of our condition before spiritual development: a) the Ineffable's imagination, God, has become man's imagination; b) man is creative force, but has the ignorance of amnesia; what he creates incidentally he does not realize is transitory; c) seeking relief, we put religion (etc.) in the place of forgotten (but still beckoning) spiritual oneness, futilely conceiving and miserably calling on God as a separate being. From this position of impotence, the seven developmental elements of repair are introduced:

MBD: "And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enosh. Then began men to call upon the name of Jehovah" (Gen. 4:26). It is when man comes to the end of his personal resources and sees the nothingness of all his efforts in the outer, apart from Spirit, that he begins to look for a higher power to express in his life. He calls upon the name of Jehovah (YHWH, Jesus). It is the activity of the awakening spiritual ideals within him that causes him first to realize the futility of his human efforts to better himself, and then to recognize the one Source of all true uplift and good (like Moses from Egypt seeking Jethro).

Cainan (Kenan), possessor; acquisitor; centralizer; one who fixes and establishes his center; acquisition. Self-centered one; fixed; ownership; centered dominion; possession invading space; general usurpation; agglomeration; welding; smith; lancer; spearman

MBD: Cainan, meaning possessor, centralizer, one who fixes and establishes his center, symbolizes the establishing of one's outer consciousness and organism in the truth that the whole man, even the body, is in essence spiritual. Thus does one prepare oneself for the new or Christ birth. Through this new birth, even the very outermost phase of man's organism undergoes a change from seeming material to spiritual expression and manifestation— the body takes on its real spiritual nature.

We saw the principle of Cainan in Cain, fixity. A lance, spear, or dart, fixes something in a constant. In Cain it was fixity in the physical. In Cainan, it is fixity in the spirit; i.e., we realize that it is really there.

MBD: Re Kenan: Enosh (meaning mortal man, mutable being, corporeal man) refers to the outer or body consciousness, in its limited, material, corruptible concept of the organism: the unreality of the material is made evident by the higher, more spiritual thought (Seth) that has begun its work in the consciousness, to the end that it may be replaced by the spiritual concept and expression. Kenan, son of Enosh (meaning self-centered one, fixed, ownership, general usurpation, welding), signifies the seemingly established materiality of consciousness and organism. But the higher, more spiritual thought, found in Seth, is working, and the man, though seemingly established in materiality, is reaching out of  the lesser self (possession invading space) and upward toward something more powerful to uplift, enlighten, heal, renew, and restore than is to be found in the material. Thus Kenan brings forth Mahalelel, meaning praise of God.

Mahalaleel (A. V., Maleleel), mighty rising; glory of brightness; mighty exaltation; raise a joyous shout to God; praise of God; splendor of God.

MBD: Man expressing his innate tendency to praise God, to hold to the light, to the good. To exalt God in consciousness is very uplifting to the individual. Like Mahalaleel, Mahalalel signifies that in man which praises and blesses and glorifies God, the good. It is the higher Judah attitude, the attitude of praise and prayer in expression.

When we discover that God is real, we repent (new world view) and of course, praise him.

Jared, descent; going down; descending; low country; declining.

MBD: The descent of Spirit, through praise and acknowledgment of God (Mahalalel), into the seemingly earthly or physical in man (low ground), that man may be wholly lifted into spiritual consciousness (Enoch, son of Jared, signifying entrance into and instruction in spiritual consciousness the new life in Christ.

So, from fixed realization that God is real, praise and worship therefore, his Spirit descends upon us. Sure sounds like the beginning of the baptism in the Holy Spirit to me.

Enoch, founder; centralizer; teacher; instructor; initiator; fixer; repentance; contrition.

MBD: Entrance into and instruction in a new state of thought, of understanding. In the case of the Enoch who walked with God, the new state of thought would be spiritual consciousness, the new life in Christ.

Methuselah, man of the sword; man of the dart; extension of the sword; swift hurled dart of death; sending forth of death; sting of death. A dart or lance, we have learned, has to do with fixity. This is anchoring in faith of what is learned in spiritual dynamics, which incurs humility, trust, and faith.

MBD: A quick, piercing thought, or word (man of the sword, man of the dart) of life, power, and oneness with God.

Lamech, overthrown; leveler; arrester of dissolution; principle of law and order; a strong young man; strength; health; power.

MBD: The strength of youth; the vital something in us that overcomes thoughts and tendencies that lead to dissolution. The vital life principle constantly inspires us from within to keep on living. This thought of youth was in Lamech, the father of Noah, and it found expression in Noah. (See NOAH.) The thought of strength and youth that is symbolized by the Lamech descended from Cain is carnal and physical. The new line of descent from Adam, through Seth, that follows this Lamech introduces a higher, a more spiritual understanding.

Lamech signifies the principle of life, which not only tends to keep one alive in the body but also brings about the building of a new body and reentrance into manifest existence for each one who lets go of his consciousness of life in the body for a time, thus allowing his organism to disintegrate; in other words, for each one who goes through the experience that the world has named death.

I find in Lamech the idea of "opposite of a king." Abdication. Lying down and giving it all up. Surrender. Being overthrown and leveled. For it was when I cast self-lordship, self-control out of myself and surrendered to, "You are Glorious God, and I am but your mud-man," that I entered the rest of Noah and was finally accepted, and baptized in the Holy Spirit. I let it all go, AND THEN IT BEGAN.

Noah, rest; calm; quiet; peace; tranquillity; equilibrium, to settle down (examples: let fall, let alone, withdraw).

"And he called his name Noah, saying, 'This same shall comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, which cometh because of the ground which Jehovah hath cursed'" (Gen. 5:29).

MBD: Noah can also be said to be the obedience through which seed for a new state of consciousness is saved. Again, Noah typifies the consciousness at rest in God (Gen. 6:9). In Genesis 6:10, the three sons of Noah represent states of mind. Shem, meaning renown, typifies the spiritual; Ham, meaning warm, typifies the physical; and Japheth, meaning extender, typifies the intellect or reason.

The Metaphysical Dictionary of the Bible continues:

The interpretation of Genesis 6:11 is that, when the faculties of mind have been used in wrong relation to Truth, certain destructive processes set in and the "earth" (the man-made realm of thought) is in a state of corruption.

Genesis 6:12: The law of the Lord begins to regulate the consciousness of man. The flood is representative of the baptism of Spirit, and is necessary in order to establish equilibrium in the three planes of mental activity.

Genesis 7:11-13: When the whole man (Noah and his wife and his sons and his sons' wives) has been washed in the regeneration, he takes refuge in the "ark" of the Lord. Man rests in the spiritual part of his consciousness, even in the midst of a flood of error.

Genesis 7:14, 15: Man takes into the ark all the ideas inherent in Being. The positive and the negative (the "two and two") activities of the organism are never separated. Divine thoughts, seven pairs.

Genesis 7:16, 17: By laying hold of spiritual ideas as the only reality, and declaring Spirit to be all in all, one is lifted "above the earth" and "shut . . . in" with Jehovah in perfect safety.

Genesis 7:18-20: Water represents unexpressed capacity. The whole "earth" (realm of manifestation) is filled with potential ideas, waiting for words of Truth to move upon the intelligence of the "waters" and bring forth spiritual realities.

Genesis 7:21, 22: When the faculties of mind find their poise in Truth, all lesser ideas die or disappear through a process of transmutation. Even the ideas that seem to contain the "breath of the spirit of life" are lost sight of in the fuller realization of Spirit as the only presence and power.

Genesis 7:23: When man lets go of his false sense of things and discerns God to be the one source of all good, he rests in spiritual consciousness (Noah) with his pure ideas of Being ("they that were with him in the ark").

Verse 24: The waters prevail so long as it is necessary to cleanse the "earth," thus making ready for the expression of purer and truer ideas. p

In Genesis 9:8-17 Noah (the consciousness), with his sons (states of mind), after his purification (the flood) is very closely related to God. God covenants or agrees to bless the purified consciousness and its realm of ideas (seed). Every idea (living creature) that is illumined of Spirit— even ideas related to the body consciousness (earth)— is blessed when man knows the creative law and cooperates with it.

Once the consciousness has been cleansed and man has awakened to his spiritual nature, he is saved through obedience to divine law and is no longer subject to dissolution through negative means. This "covenant," which is eternal, is to those who give up mind and body into the keeping of divine law. The "bow" signifies the orderly arrangement of ideas in Divine Mind, and their perfect manifestation. One who is poised in Truth rests in the consciousness of God's presence, even in the midst of error (the cloud).

When man is obedient to the guidance of God he will never be flooded by negative conditions. The rainbow is a sign in the heavens symbolizing the perfect blending of the race into obedience to one harmonious Christ principle— the endless circle of natural perfection coming out of obedience to divine law.

Well, I got this started. I wanted to get the idea out. Perhaps I can abbreviate and say it more simply in a later post, more of my own impression and less MDB.

Dear Love,

I keep a book on the self where I will at least occasionally see its title: YOUR GOD IS TOO SMALL. I need the reminder: my conceptions of God are always too small. This keeps me mentally stretching. My experiences with God, though, for instance being baptized in the Holy Spirit, seeing Christ crucified, hearing his voice, healings, etc., and my much reading, have given me perhaps a bit bigger "God" than yours, and I would like to share some of mine with you.

When I discovered the active presence of Jesus in my life, I had been much removed from my traditional Methodist church. I was into the occult and meditation. Confronted in an occult meditation with the presence and power of Jesus, I repented and went with a friend to the House of Praise in Kaimuki, Hawaii, and got saved. The House of Praise was an outreach, I believe, of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), which is headquartered on the big island of Hawaii.

As the name House of Praise suggests, the emphasis was praise and glorious worship, and from then on my life majored on the praise and worship of God. I should say that it has majored on the love of God, for which we praise, worship, and adore Him. He sent me to a Charismatic seminary, Melodyland School of Theology, where again the emphasis was praise and worship for God's love.

In the bookstore of the Christian Center, I happened upon a small booklet, Open Windows, Swinging Doors: a personal diary of Dr. Frank C. Laubach (1955: Regal Books, G/L Publications). It had a picture of an old man, who looked like my grandfather, sitting on a tropical island, like my Hawaii. I read the book at a retreat, and it centered on the praise, worship, and love of God. The book became my retreat. I cannot tell you how much Frank C. Laubach means to me. I am crying even now: I miss a man I never met so much. It took me seven years of haunting used bookstores to find a copy of his Channels of Spiritual Power (1974: Fleming H. Revell), and then You Are My Friends (1942: Harper and Brothers). I got everything I could find by him or about him. He taught me to fill my heart, mind, thoughts, and life with the love of God, and I cannot tell you the appreciation I feel for the man.

Long story short: your traumatic life is something you have not been able to let go. No one blames you for that. My former life was not traumatic, but it certainly was regrettable. I found, as Frank Laubach taught, that the love of God displaced my regrettable life. It was dead to me. You have heard Neville's testimony, that, embraced by God, he absolutely fused with Love. You are afraid of that? No one blames you for that, either, because it entails letting go of an awful lot. You have tried valiantly for years to correct your life and have read an awful lot of material to help you accomplish that. I am recommending another approach: first of all, the form the field takes on to communicate with us, Jesus Christ. That guy is real to your mind. You can accept him as Lord -- YHWH -- which he is. As I watched Jesus being crucified for my sin, the price for the perfect life given me I could not repay, I heard in my mind that he did it to win the right to me, for the joy of forgiving me, for the love of God. That's the love we give up to, releasing everything else to get to.

And secondly, I recommend you concentrate your reading and ruminations on the love of God. Read the likes of the afore mentioned books by Frank Laubach, if you can find them, and books by T. L. Osborn (and listen to his evangelistic crusades' preaching on youtube!), E. W. Kenyon, Andrew Murray, They Found the Secret by Edman (1984: Clarion Classics, Zondervan), Smith Wigglesworth, Hannah Hurnard, D. L. Moody, Eldon Ladd, Merlin Carothers, John Deere, Reigning With Christ by F. J. Huegel (1963: Zondervan; 1969: Bethany Fellowship), and any number of missionaries -- just to name a few.

And aside from those, I mentioned books by Richard W. Wetherill on books.google.com. Scan and consider what he says in Tower of Babel and Dictionary of Typical Command Phrases. It is something we all do, and we should all know about it. Just to know that we are doing it helps.

And if there is anyone reading this who isn't Love, would you please remember to think of her as happy, healthy, satisfied, and much loved? Imagine "she-whom-God-knows" having been filled with joy and praise, thanksgiving and gratitude, sane, serene, secure and having whatsoever she had desired.

Thanks.

Anonymous Testifies

The following comment on my last post, "Anonymous the Creator," is why I try to come up with insights that may touch a person and help them to break through this fog of understanding, or perhaps I should say misunderstanding, that pervades the human race:

Writes Anonymous:

So then... the well meaning "prayers" of the uber religious who view me as "not having" or as "struggling" or as "needs help" are indeed hurting me. Yes? Correct? What do I do about that?

Let me tell you something. I have been in the pit of despair since I was a very young child. I won't bore you with the details because you're not a therapist, though rest assured "therapists" are a useless lot, because one can't lead where one hasn't been.

I took a huge risk in a last ditch effort to save myself. I quit the job that was sucking the life out of me. I knew that if I wanted to really devote time and energy to shifting consciousness, I would need time and energy, and that job took it all. So I quit. I've been living off a small settlement, not much.

I spent the entire summer, the last three months, doing whatever I could to FEEL as good as I could. Every day going out into the sunshine, walking, mustering all the good feelings I could. Imagining daily. Hiking while repeating affirmations. Everything I could. And it was a battle some days. But I kept at it. I have persisted to the best of my ability. I even asked God to give me more faith. I know, I know, asking for faith is acknowledging you don't have it. Well what else is one supposed to do? I gave it my all.

You know what came of that? Absolutely nothing. I'm out of money and out of time. And the sun is leaving and soon enough it's going to be a mountain of snow and bitter cold. I still have no love, no friends, no financial freedom, no happiness, no love no love no love, and now no job to boot.

When a person is in a pit so deep and they make their most valiant effort to reach up toward happiness, God ought to at least extend his hand, but he doesn't! And time is eup. I have to go get another slave gig asap so I can go on living for no particular reason.

You know what we are? We're living, breathing, FEELING, physical manifestations of programs. That's what we are. Expressions of our programming. And when you're trapped in an endless loop of sh*t programming, it sucks.

Please, whether you publish or censor this, please do not tell me to go get medication. There is absolutely no pill on Earth that is going to fill the huge void in my life. And even if there were... I don't have insurance. I did however have the great privilege of paying a huge penalty I couldn't afford, all for the luxury of not being able to afford insurance and being just a little too "rich" for medicaid. I have tried the "natural" route... vitamins and so forth. But the thing is, it's not chemical and it's not hormonal. It's what my LIFE EXPERIENCES have done to me.

We may very well "create our reality" by our thoughts, feelings and subconscious beliefs... but there is NO WAY we are in control of those things. It doesn't work. And there is NO ONE in my life who is "imagining lovingly" for me. No one who is lifting me up in imagination. And I don't have the money to pay someone to help me out.

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for writing. I cannot explain everything at once, writing being linear, and you've got a lot here. Excuse me while I scroll up and down.

No, God is not ignorant or blind. Well-meaning people who pray for you do not confuse him. He knows his objective and how to get to it. I cannot pray for a roof over your head, though I acknowledge you do not have one, without imagining you with a roof over your head. But the religious may not being as helpful as they might. In any case, you yourself are sovereign God of your natural self, so no one can hex you, as it were.

Yes, I am not a therapist, so I can only throw out some educated guesses as to what might help you and give some well-meant human-to-human advice. Besides wishing you could have found another line of work that wouldn't have sucked the life out of you, I wish you could feel happy and well in spite of negative, contrary circumstances. That, I acknowledged a few posts ago, may be the hardest thing for some of us to do.

I am honestly impressed with the effort you put forth to change your mind. It isn't that nothing came of it. I hope you will perceive what did come of it. That would be worth the price of the lesson.

You remind me of a number of people I have known (a subset of the mass of humanity) who have something which has perplexed evangelists throughout the ages. I am not sure how to describe it. 'Perspective' is probably the closest word I'll find. There is something in their perspective for which they don't "get it." I don't meant that judgmentally; it's just an observation (we will all eventually get it).

Premier among them was Raphael, my friend who took me to Grace Bible Church in Honolulu, where I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. He was the one who asked for the gift of tongues. I waited a long time in the vestibule while the ministers worked on him. One came out and invited me to receive the gift also. Finding myself utterly rejected by God, I cast myself upon him, and he caught me (God, not the minister). Emptied of my self-lordship and self-control, and most importantly accepted by him, in my release I was filled with the Holy Spirit and overwhelmed with gratitude and love which literally spilled out of my mouth in tongues.

But Raphael, well, he just never got it. He kept looking for an input, much to many ministers' frustration, and I had found the output. Same with my mother, God bless her. And DeBorah. Tony, no, Tony visited Melodyland Christian Center with my mom, and he went down and got filled with the Holy Spirit. I watched a video of T. L. Osborn about to speak at a missions school which I believe had been his property, a warehouse for his books or something. Before teaching, he had prayed for the students, and one young woman hadn't had the breakthrough. T. L. recited the pertinent scriptures, carefully framing them to make their point clear. Might as well have been talking to the cement wall. She kept waiting for something to happen. She believed the scriptures, I am sure, except to the point of output of herself and acceptance of Jesus.

The name Jesus is symbolically spelled. There is a shin, a tooth for consumption, for the destruction of what is, so that something else may take its place. That is how salvation works: it is literally (in the spirit) out with the bad and in with the good. No out, no in; but how to get what's in out blows every evangelist's mind. (I liked what this site said about the letter shin: http://www.walkingkabbalah.com/hebrew-alphabet-letter-meanings/ -- that the "tooth" is constructed of three branches of flame, the three pillars of the tree of life -- its short explanation says a mouthful.)

Mickie Silberling told me in Kaohsiung that I was taking everything too seriously. He told me to lighten up. Some of the best advice I ever received. Two typhoons hit the island, and I wound up taking the train from Taipei to Taichung to meet my father's merchant ship. I spent the last five dollars I had to get to the SS Roosevelt, which, bless God, was there. Four of us caught a taxi to town, and one ex-Navy sailor kept bemoaning the whole way (and it was a long way) how the Navy had ruined him, had made him an alcoholic. I finally looked back at him and told him, "Dude, there isn't any Navy here. You've been out of the Navy for years. You are free." Dad and I had a good time in Taichung, anyway. And I left with a pocket full of cash.

Are you getting any association with other people? Church, synagogue, meditation group? Just like walking around affirming without doing anything about it, you cannot build loving relationships without other people. I know how hard that can be in a crowded city: loneliest places on the earth. Try to not think of a job as a slave gig. In your little bit you are making a contribution, and you get paid.

I recommended Maxwell Maltz's Psycho-cybernetics and Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, especially for the positive mental attitude. Lately, I personally have been getting a lot out of Richard W. Wetherill's books on humanetics. They sound like a description of my family. He puts forth in Tower of Babel that we all think that we are right because our logic has been distorted by excuses and twisted logic we have installed in ourselves through our experiences and our rationalizations for them. We are always "right" no matter how wrong we are. I have only been reading the preview at books.google.com, but I realize how perceptive Wetherill was to realize that this was -- is -- the tower of Babel. Be ready for some work if you read them.

I just recently recommended Gregg Braden's videos, as well. His native American friend found the output. Feeling DRY land might have stopped the rain. You said above, "there is NO ONE in my life who is 'imagining lovingly' for me. No one who is lifting me up in imagination." Maybe some of the people who read this blog would be willing to prove you wrong by feeling lovingly for you. This would be a worthwhile experiment, because only God, the common factor in all of us, knows who you are. My blog gets about a hundred pageviews a day, whatever that means. If the several readers who read this page would kindly think of a woman who would sign her name as "Anonymous" as having love and joy and peace, serenity, security -- everything she wants and in need of nothing -- a good job and better, and endless hope being rewarded, I am sure she would appreciate it. I am pretty sure she will let us know if her life turns around from constant sorrow to peace and joy. Thank You!

Anonymous the Creator

Anonymous asked...

"I was turned off where the author (Coue) suggested adding no specific desires to auto-suggestions because "the higher self" (God) knows what we NEED. (Then why not just give it to us?) But what about what we WANT? How does repeating "every day in every way, I am getting better and better" help to wrangle the imagination and focus it on specific desires?"
________________

Dear Anonymous,

The words "every day in every way, I am getting better and better" mean absolutely nothing, except they are the language by which we understand and are encouraged to act. Repeating them reminds and encourages us to FEEL better. What good is being the operant power if we do not operant?

I am very sincere when I say that the theology is the technique. We are not trying to get God -- the higher self, our imagination, the sub-conscious -- to do anything. IT has an objective: to be manifest. There is only one God, the Ineffable, who is and has become everything. Everything is one, only one, including us, but with an objective we have not met, yet. We are the fulfillment of that objective in potential. GIVING us anything we want does absolutely NOTHING to meet that objective of our being the Creator. There is nothing outside that is going to give us squat, except that squat instill faith in us.

We shall meet that potential, but for the moment we are working on getting rid of the time expectation. We think it is something that is going to happen in the future. It is this moment, if we can but accept it. And like our being the operant power, the only way to accept it is to accept it.

The Creator, the Imagination of the Ineffable, became you. Not another you: you you. You ARE the Creator -- the screwed-up part that isn't being one hundred percent like the Ineffable (no offense meant). We are meant to have everything we desire, but nothing that we want. Read that sentence again. You are meant to HAVE everything you desire. You will receive NOTHING of what you want. Wanting says, "I do not have." That is what wanting manifests. If you HAVE, in your mental experience, what you desire, THAT is what will manifest.

Here is a short version of Gregg Braden explaining the idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Nu-nE1feRc. I prefer this slightly longer version, especially at about 4:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et-dn-Fzw0I. When we pray for something, we acknowledge that we do not have it. And THAT manifests. To create is to believe that you DO HAVE what you desire. To believe it is not a lie. Faith is the substance of the unseen thing. It exists because YOU JUST CREATED IT, and you are the Creator.

Believing, repeating what you desire, and feeling that you have it gives the subconscious something to manifest. You create the state for God, who is dreaming you, to experience, by imagining that it is your experience. It has not been your experience? That is why it is by FAITH -- imagination.

We were created by the Creator to be Its manifestation -- THE CREATOR. We were created to create. That is imaged physically in sexual reproduction. Move that illustrative image to the realities of mind and spirit. (Not the other way around: Pharaoh taking Abraham's Sarah results in idolatry and cursing, because the flesh inherits nothing of the spirit.) Imagining having the desires God gives our hearts impregnates our manifesting world with what we shall become.

Is any of this getting through, Anonymous?

Here is a complete aside, Anonymous:

I noticed an interesting book about fifteen or twenty years ago in a used book store. The Tower of Babel by Richard Wetherill. I looked through it and saw that it had nothing to do with the Tower of Babel, so I didn't get it. God has kept that book in the back - and sometimes front - of my mind for all these years. About five years ago I found it on books.google.com (https://www.google.com/search?tbm=bks&q=richard+wetherill). It is about "humanetics." What the heck is that? I still didn't read it. Besides, it is as repetitive as heck.

The book kept coming up, and to make a long story short (too late?), my world was falling apart, and so I finally read it.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
