The Becoming God

Beware the Language of God

It should go without saying that God speaks to us by illustration. That is pretty much what manifestation is. We SEE what He says because it IS what He is. Consider what you see as verbal, for it is a verb. The consciousness of the Ineffable is what It is DOING. We see a process which is our historical situation. He is the things that happen; they are His speech. Not that He cannot or does not speak to us "audibly," in the atmosphere or right into the brain. But every moment of existence is for illumination in the process of manifesting Him. He thinks, and we should be thinking, too, for we are His imagination. We are coming on line, getting up to speed - "waking up."

My warning is that God's speech becomes historical, and what He says is repetitive. Part of the value of studying the Bible is learning what He has said, is saying, and is going to say again in a situation, because you can be sure it is coming like a freight train. I do not demean God by saying that He is like a scratched record (old-school vinyl, kids) that keeps repeating the same track over and over, because what He says is what He is doing. Here is a major theme God keeps trying to mush into our heads: "The Age (of the Old Testament) has ended, and the Kingdom of God has arrived. Repent and believe in the Hope [of the Kingdom]" (Mark 1:15 Alexander). That is the promise, the gospel/reward of spiritual quickening that is here and available to whomever will hear. Its fulfillment can become historical, your history, when entered into as the real deal. Otherwise, the call through self-caused affliction gets repeated. Lucky you.

God keeps knocking at the door in whatever situation we are in. Our expulsion from the Garden was for our illumination. The Season of Grace happened. Some got it (understanding and quickening by the Spirit), while others did not. Noah's flood was God saying, "This way, not that." The Ashurai (Genesis 10:22), descendants of Shem, came out of Nimrod's (Cush's descendants) lands (Genesis 10:11) because they had got it and defeated Nimrod. That is language. You want to be like them. Samuel rejecting Saul like God is something you do not want for yourself. Being a person after God's own heart is something you do. Visiting the third heaven is good. Being stoned by Judaizers means they do not like you. Rising up after being stoned means God does. Sinking into the tumultuous waves of sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll means maybe you should keep your eyes upon Jesus and a pure life. There is deliverance in believing what we see.

We can reply to God by the language of what we do. We are, after all, His manifestation. What we do because of what we think is as causative as thinking what we want to do as though we had done it. THAT is why we are supposed to keep the Mosaic law. It is not for merit, but for becoming more like Him. Which brings us to the "last days" everyone is so concerned about. They have been last for a long time. I do not know if they will remain individual - a personal pattern each goes through - or become a whole-world statement of the same message. The world situation is not looking very good, but it has looked bad for many people many times. Be repented up and remember the confession: "There is only one God. Jesus is God, and I am, too. I am a Christian. There are not any other gods than the True God." Stay true.
