The Pure Language: Jesus Doesn't Look Like Us

Sorry, but people are ugly. Jesus was, too. People who see him today say he is beautiful beyond words. It's an imagic world. This side of glorification is ugly as the sin that predominates it. That side is perfect, as beautiful as God. (Listen to T. L. Osborn 33:00 to 35:00.)

I heard a nice teaching from Robert Morris. Never heard of him before. It came up on the subject of tongues. The idea is that the first language of mankind was a spiritual one. Adam and Eve, Cain, Seth, Noah, Nimrod -- they all spoke this spiritual tongue. Men were of one accord in the building of the tower of babel, and because they all spoke this spiritual language, "they will not be at a loss to do whatever they imagine" (Genesis 11:6 Alexander). So God gave them other languages to muck things up. They were and are mucked up. In Zephaniah 3:9, God says he will restore the pure, spiritual language. In Acts chapter 2, he did. Things are un-mucked. Therefore, we are not at a loss to do whatever we imagine, IF WE HAVE the spiritual language.

I do not think we all speak the same prayer language. "It's an imagic world. 'Language' isn't language, dummy, it's LIFE, thought, conduct, behavior, communication -- i.e., living." Oh. It's a metaphor. Not (only) a language per se, but the "language" of manifesting the Big Guy. It is restored. Life doesn't need to be ugly anymore.

In response to the first comment below, I'd like to say that consciousness was the first image of the Ineffable No-thing. God speaks to us in ILLUSTRATIONS. All we manifest is imagic communication OF us and TO us. Neville Goddard's 1948 Lesson 5 lays it out very neatly and practically: we can reject OUR consciousness and assume GOD'S consciousness. I am just learning and communicating here that we can and should do so in His language -- tongues and a moral, loving life in integrity.
