He Knocks on the Inside, "Let Me Enter Your World"
God is the basis of our being; He's the "No-thing" we are made out of. We do not exist at all apart from Him. The Kingdom of God has been within us FROM THE GET-GO (Luke 17:21). In Revelation 3:20, we are presented with a picture: "Behold, I am before the door knocking. If a human [being] hears my sound and opens the door, I shall enter to them and dine with them, and they with me" (Alexander). It looks like He is on the outside coming in, but He is actually on the inside coming out, out into our world--our conscious awareness and our life's expression we seem to live in. Paul suggests that if we are not getting this that Christ is inside of us, we are not actually "Christians" ("or did you not realize that He, Jesus Christ, is in you? And if not, you are deficient"--2 Corinthians 13:5 Alexander, emphasis mine).
