Do Not Blame God; The Curse Was OUR Choice: An Open Letter To Michaël

Michaël,

I am not at all familiar with French language Bibles. I have been contemplating Genesis chapters 1-3 in my English translation from the ancient Aramaic by Victor Alexander, and I am discovering some things new to me after 47 years of study.

God's curse on us and the crappy world we live in was our choice. Don't blame God for it. God told us not to do it, and we CHOSE to do it anyway--we elected this cursed world in order to get eternal life. In Genesis 2:17 God warns that eating of the Tree of Life (which gives knowledge of the good and of the evil) will cause "the death." The "death" is ignorance, the loss of awareness of unity with God. In Genesis 3:4, the being which became the Serpent said, "You will not really die, but you will become aware of the good and the evil and be like God." Genesis 3:22 says we CHOSE to know the good AND THE EVIL in order to live eternally like God--that is why WE took of the Tree of Life and ate. WE chose the curse! Since then we have been on earth ignorant of God, living in poverty, getting thorns and thistles--learning what is the good and the evil--SO THAT SOME DAY THESE CONDITIONS MAY LEAD US BACK TO THE WAY OF THE TREE OF LIFE (Genesis 3:24).

So, have we had enough of the curse yet? Has it served its purpose? The resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ established as Lord in Heaven is the END of our being cursed IF WE HUMBLE OURSELVES, SUBMIT AND TURN TO HIM as our Lord and Savior. He is the Way of the Tree of Life to us. We do not have to bear the curse anymore: He TOOK our curse upon Himself, died, was buried, resurrected, ascended, and now He may forgive us IF WE RECOGNIZE HIM AS OUR REPRESENTATIVE, LORD, and MASTER. Sounds like a deal to me. I'd go now.
