I have had to think of why Minnie Riperton affects me so. I think it is because I am so embarrassed of humans. So mean. So ugly. So ignorant. So low and greedy. I am ashamed to be one. It is hard to keep this in mind. There are those who throw light on what we are meant to be. On what we can be. Minnie signifies that to me.
