Appreciate the Hell Out of God

"Eye does not see and ear does not hear, and over the heart does not rise the thing God graced to those who mercy Him" (1 Cor 2:9 Alexander, lit. Aramaic idiomatic construction).

Those who mercy God are relatives -- those who would crawl over the kids to get out of bed in the middle of the night to get a relative loaves of bread because others have come to visit him or her.

The word 'hell' in the New Testament meant the grave. Man is not destined to stay in the grave, but believers are destined through this death to gain eternal life. If you are a keeper, that is something to appreciate God for. Isn't it wonderful?

I suggest spending your time and mental effort appreciating God. Neville told the story of a woman estranged from her son's family. Learning of revision, she mentally wrote two letters she pretended to have received from her daughter-in-law and grandson. Do you suppose that she was overwhelmed with gratitude receiving those letters, although they were only imagined? I do. And in a week she was reconciled with her family. Which was the power: her imagining the letters, or her gratitude for receiving them?

Why did Abel - Transitoriness - bring the firstlings of his thoughts to God? He appreciated God. Cain, not so much. Cain - Acquisition - focused on getting things.

Do you misunderstand Malachi? If I read Alexander correctly, the Jews WERE bringing their tithes to the storehouse, and they WERE protected from loss by God. And they HATED it. "What are we doing this for? We are not getting anything out of it" (Malachi 3:14 - my take). They did not recognize, appreciate, or honor God as their loving, Divine Father. That is a big Bozo no-no. Things did not turn out well for them. Won't turn out well for us, either.

"For the upstanding shall live on earth, and those without fault shall persist on it. And the sinners shall disappear from the earth, and the abominable shall be rooted out of it" (Proverbs 2:21-22 Alexander).

NB! We can get whatsoever we want, as God is faithful to His word, and still be abominable and to be rooted out!!
