A World Without God; Worlds with Wrong Gods

Sadly, I got into the habit of watching YouTube videos of the terrible things happening in the world. I was going to say the terrible things happening in communist China, but it is much greater than that. My point is that what is happening in this world is indicative of its being a world without God. Very much of this world is without consciousness and recognition of the reality of God. People can be so cruel, unsympathetic and uncaring to others. "If you can cheat, cheat" is an axiom I have heard. So they conspire to rob and to steal, to take, inflict harm, and destroy others. What is to stop them? They believe there is no God, no judgment, no penalty, no reason not to serve one's self or one's family--the party--supremely. "The elbow bends inward," I am told. "I control others . . . for me."

What do poor people do when their government and society are heartless monsters? They turn to whatever gods they imagine, to whatever they are told will give them salvation or relief. They may revolt, militaries may coup, they may establish new governments or economies. But without the real God, they only create new monsters. Socialism, capitalism, communism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity (etc.)--without the real and true God (as the Source of love, mercy, grace, empathy, righteousness, and justice)--are monsters.

As Biden would say, "Just think of it"--you're in a world without any knowledge of the true God, and you can only go to false gods you hope will help you, but they do not really exist. You beg without answer. This IS the world we are in, into which we are to offer hope of the Kingdom.
