Believing We Have Eternal Life To Get It

10. Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his soul. And whoever does not believe God, calls (makes) Him a liar, by not believing the testimony that God gives (testifies) about His Son.
11. And this is that testimony, that God has given us Life to [the end of] the universe (or, everlasting life), and this Life is in His Son.
12. Whoever takes the Son, also [receives the everlasting] Life, and whoever does not take the Son of God, does not [receive the everlasting] Life.
13. These things I write you so that you may know that you have Life eternal* (to the end of the universe), [you who] believe in these things in the name of the Son of God.
14. And this familiarity we have with Him, that whatever we ask of Him, He is pleased to hear us.
15. And if we ask in faith* (resolved) that He hears us in regard* to (over) anything that we may ask of Him, we can rest assured that we have already received the requests we made of Him (1 John 5:10-15 Alexander, notes incorporated).

Eternal Life with God, AS God, is a wonderful reward for believing. If we believe. We have to believe it to get it: "Believe ye receive, and ye shall have" (Mark 11:24). So taking the Son we believe we receive, that we have, and thus we have.

From Neville's lecture "One Greater Than John":

"When we open the Bible we think it is just a normal book. May I tell you, it is not; it is divine history and all the characters in scripture represent states of consciousness, from Adam to Jesus, every one. They’re not individuals as you and I are; they’re simply representatives of these states of awareness."

Taking the Son by belief we enter the STATE. Eternal Life is a feature of the state, and for certain the Jesus of that state is real.
