Cheryl Craig: The Outside Guy is Inside
Cheryl, ever listen to this one? Neville Goddard "The Incarnate Revelation" Lecture Excerpt (1969) I almost misread it as the Incarnation Revelation. It is the Incarnate Revelation, the revelation of the Big Guy in and through and by us. Abraham - the Father is Merciful, or Merciful Father - is a state we attain. But before that is born was the I AM of God. First the I AM, then the Merciful Father we may be.
Does this make any sense? All of the Big Guy is inside, even if He appears outside.

Hi Dan, I have never listened to this Neville lecture. I will listen today. I have been contemplating attaining states. I truly believe that being a doer of the word and not a hearer only I will come to know Him in me. Neville said the confidence in God is contingent on the confidence within oneself. I think this is true. My early years left me with little to no confidence so I have been building this up. Honestly the past few years have been focused on this trust and attaining it. It may take more than this lifetime to get there, but I do not underestimate the healing power of God. It could happen today. So I trudge on. I will let you know what I think of the lecture. Thank you for thinking of me. Any chance you live on the east coast and can meet for a cup of coffee?
Sincerely,
Cheryl C

Unless you mean the east coast of the Pacific Ocean, no, I live about 60 mile east of LAX. Thank you for my next post.

Hi Dan, I enjoyed listening to the excerpt you shared in your post "The Incarnate Revelation." It is a great reminder of keeping aware of the states of consciousness that I inhabit. What I am finding is that to move out of an old state is trickier than first thought. Neville makes it all seem easy, and on one level it is. What I love about Joseph Murphy is he shines more light on the subconscious mind and gives a bit more instruction in overcoming thought patterns and beliefs. The ego really fights hard against change thus remaining in the state desired takes disciplined effort. I see in your blog you grapple with reoccurring themes, the generous nature of God, The first chapter of Genesis, your interpretation or understanding of "In the beginning" and so on. It is personal to your path. What I keep coming to is "be a doer of the word and not a hearer only" and something I read (though I don't remember from which author, perhaps Emmet Fox) is people demonstrate where they are at (conscious of). I look around my world and I see where I live consciously. I think the reason Neville was so successful in manifestation is because he practiced the law consistently and consciously and it awakened the Christ in him. Believing and studying the Word of God is nothing if I don't practice it. I must be as Neville if I want to experience God. I have had my experiences and they were examples of the Grace of God, but to awaken Christ I must be in full command of my thoughts and my states of consciousness. This is, at least, my interpretation and what I contemplate often as I overcome this world of shadows.
Thank you for sharing all your insights. My daughters were visiting for a spell so I have some catching up to do on you blog. I did a quick scroll and it looks like some interesting posts. Lately I have been listening to Bill Donahue (have you heard of him). He is on Youtube. He teaches the hidden meanings of the Bible. I don't think he always takes it to the deeper meaning but I appreciate his insights. It is another example of how we all have our own path to God. It is personal to our experience. As for living outside of LA I suspected you were on the west coast but thought I would give it a go anyway (I live in Connecticut). It is not too often I find someone who believes the things that I do. Most of my friends are new age and I was on that path too, but it truly is a dead end. Unless they study the word of God, there is no real value in it. It puts all its value on spirit guides, angels and aliens.
Take Care

Hello Cheryl. The Eternal takes time to cultivate Itself in us. Mark 4:26-29 Alexander: And he said, "Such is the Kingdom of God, like a man* who casts seed on the soil, And he sleeps and rises in the night and in the day, and the seed germinates and grows tall, while he is unaware. For the earth brings it to life* (fruition), and before, it is a shoot, and after that, foliage, until finally the foliage is full of grain. When it is in full fruition, at once there comes the sickle, for the harvest has arrived." While He is waiting, we can be PRACTICING, LEARNING of Him. Ability accumulates.
Re Bill Donahue, I was directed to him late 2016. For some reason my post about him became one of my most viewed pages. It was Frank C. Laubach who said that because of the occult, the church gave up the good, especially useful "spiritual" stuff. Donahue grabs and combines some pretty wild stuff (keep the salt handy), and is at least fodder for insights.

"Be a doer of the word and not a hearer only" = "Be the thing you thought"? First the blade, then the ear, then the full head of grain.
I finally read The Game of Life. It looks like I am catching up to 1925 (I bought The Prosperity Bible on a lark). Wattles' chapters 5, 14 and 15 are especially interesting, too. Give increase of life. Sell it, preach it, practice it. The Divine is expanding, filling voids with Itself, and increase - "Jethro" - is His calling card.

Oh yeah. Before Abraham, asteroids, and alien astronauts, was I AM.
