Those Who Lust In Their Dreams For The Defilement Of The Flesh Reject The Lordship And Blaspheme the Glory Of God

The King James can sometimes be as clear as mud. I never felt guilty reading Jude 7 and 8. Alexander makes it a whole lot clearer, which is troubling. Here is Jude 7 and 8 in the KJV:

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

And here it is in Alexander's translation from the ancient Aramaic:

Thus also Sodom and Gomorrah, and the towns around them, where they, in like manner, fornicated and went after other flesh, are consecrated under the same universal fire, as they deserve the Judgment. Similarly also those who lust in their dreams for the defilement of the flesh, reject the Lordship and blaspheme the Glory (emphasis mine).

Dreaming similarly to Sodom and Gomorrah. Not a good crowd to be counted in with.
