Exodus 6:3 Cure: B
Exodus 6:3 is the Milta (Miltha, the manifestation of the essential connotations of God) telling Moses to go on. Look at the context: Moses has for about the last 40 years been the son-in-law to Reuel/ Jethro, the priest of Midian, the leader of an Arabic people. The Milta has been the Provider, Eil Shaddai, to these desert believers. God was contrasting Moses' faith with theirs. These people KNOW the Milta is a real thing, for they have seen his work; his promises come to fruition, for he is real. They trust his promises; even when they see no evidence of those promises' fulfillment, THEY KNOW THAT THEY WILL CERTAINLY COME TO PASS. The Milta is known to be faithful, capable, and reliable to bring his promises, his words, to completion: "Sacrifice my son to You? My only son through whom you have promised I am to have descendants numerous as the stars in the heavens? And I haven't any descendants except him yet? Sure; hold my beer, FOR YOU ARE SURELY GOING TO DO WHAT YOU HAVE SAID."
The nature or "name" of YHWH, the impassioned one, is to convert what the Ineffable has assumed to exist, the Milta, into concrete reality. The Milta is the No-thing thinged. There is a reason his name in Hebrew is I AM. Jesus on the cross says to the Father (in the Aramaic), "To this you have destined me"--our substitute in completion of our sacrifice to God and the full payment/ penalty for our sins. Jesus gave it all to receive the reward (Greek: euaggelion) promised in Daniel 9:24. By HIS stripes WE are healed! We are back in relationship with God to the day before the fall of man.
Before we are saved we see other people saved and healed. We might even be healed ourselves. God is to us Eil Shaddai. We believe, but we see that there is more. He promises his Life in us. He is YHWH, the Manifestation of God from beginning to end; let him bring it to pass by surrendering, submitting yourself further--utterly. Let your self-lordship die. Cast it out and recognize that you are his, and let him forgive you and fill you with HIS Life.
