The Great Danger in Neville Goddard-type Manifesting and the Law of Attraction

There is a great danger in manifesting and practicing the Law of Attraction. The danger is in attributing the results--when they work--to yourself or to some idol, and not recognizing nor attributing the response expected and/or received to God. In short, THERE ISN'T ANY MAGIC. It isn't the universe that hears and fulfills your demands. Nothing is going to roll down the street due to your magnetic vibrations. What happens is orchestrations of the consciousness of the invisible, Ineffable Being we call God. For that beyond the No-thing EVIDENCES ITSELF BY RESPONDING TO OUR BELIEFS. We have no idea where It came from, but It responds for Its purposes to us. "You imagined this. You believed it. Here. See its manifestation? This response by Me to you is My proof of My being here, of My being alive, of My being aware of you, of My hearing you, of My loving you, and of My power. Now that you see sure evidence of Me, come unto Me and learn of Me."

And you're not going to go? Miracles, including manifestations, are God's saying, "Howdy-do? I AM here, and I love you." When we see and hear Him BY THESE RESPONSES, we are responsible and accountable to GO to Him, to surrender to Him, and to submit our lives (His life, actually) to Him. If we don't, well, our rejection of the WELL EVIDENCED sovereign Lord God of the universe won't end prettily. What we reject goes away, and His going away at the end of our lives will be catastrophic. For God, despite all His gentle persuasion, is playing hardball. THIS STUFF IS REAL! It might not be like we imagine it to be, but it is real nevertheless.

Have you ever looked at what sin is? Adam and Eve were told not to try to control their lives themselves. The Life in the Tree of Life was God's control over our lives. Don't be eating that! But Eve wanted to have God's wisdom, to be in control, in charge, independent, directing her own life for her own purposes. When you act to manifest or practice the Law of Attraction, DO YOU DO IT FOR YOURSELF? "I'll direct my own life, thank you." It isn't your life, dude. This life "given" to us is God's life, and it given for us to fulfill HIS purposes.

Neville Goddard attributed his success in manifestation to proper appeal in GOD'S imagination and complete submission to His, i.e., GOD'S, getting it done. He knew this is GOD'S Life, and other than imagining what he believed was right and proper, he stayed out of it.

"They then went out, and preached every place, and Maryah (Jesus, the Milta) helped them and began filling them with signs that they performed" (Mark 16:20 Alexander).

Who filled the Apostles with signs (miracles)? Maryah, God. It is Maryah who fills us with signs; we only perform them. HE is the power that DOES them. He is in us, and yes, He is us, but He is the bigger half, and we aren't anything but what He makes us. His is the program. Creating is His process. Be a grateful whatever He makes you. His is the program. Make your petition known, then give Maryah honor, reverence, respect, and love. And ATTRIBUTION!

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" (Matthew 7:22-23 KJV).

What is iniquity? Doing things just for yourself and yours. We are to be doing what God wants, working for Him. Our purpose for living is not to fulfill OUR purpose, but His. His purpose is manifesting Himself, His love through us, building the Milta. Yes, we can manifest, but FOR HIM. Think the best of others, for them. Think lovingly, pray for our government, manifest food for the hungry, health for the infirm, wealth for the poor, freedom for the captive. Preach, vibrate up a storm, and let God confirm the truth of what you say . . . for THEM.
