The Milta (Miltha) is the Answer to the Question, "What is a Jesus?"
You may have heard AndraƩ Crouch's song, "Jesus is the Answer." I ask the question, "What is a Jesus?" According to Saint John in the Aramaic version of John 1:1 (Aramaic being the language Jesus and all native Judeans actually spoke), Jesus is the Milta (Miltha):
"In the beginning [of creation] there was the Manifestation* (Milta); And that Manifestation (Milta) was with God; and God was [the embodiment of] that Manifestation (Milta)" (John 1:1 per Victor Alexander, footnote incorporated).
In the digital version of his translation of the Gospel According to John, Alexander's footnote on the word Manifestation* reads: "1:1 'Milta,' in Aramaic: the essential connotation for a person or thing. There is no true English equivalent for this concept."
In the print version of his translation (Alexander, Victor. 2012. Aramaic New Testament: Translation of the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures directly into English), Alexander expands his note: "1:1 [All instances] Literal Aramaic word retained: 'Manifestation.' 'Milta,' is an Aramaic word that has been set aside for only sacred use. Only the Messiah Eashoa is ever to be called the Milta. Grammatically, 'Milta' means the essential connotation for a person or thing. There is no true English equivalent for this word."
Okay, so what is an Eashoa (pronounced E-sho, see Alexander's note on Matthew 1:25)? Eashoa means "Life-giver." The Milta--the Manifestation or Essential Connotation of God that John is talking about in His text about Messiah Eashoa, is the Giver of LIFE.
